I'd think that with 6 D batteries that it would be like the mech tommy 20, in the case that it fires, and rotates, execpt at a much faster rate. because if 3 tripple A's worked for about 15 feet and did that, then the Vulcan should in theory be better.
I don't know if that's such an accurate theory. You have to remember no battery power in the MT20 is wasted going into rotation, seeing as how it is semi-automatic and rotates using a mechanism. The Vulcan is automatic, meaning the batteries almost definitely control the mechanism which moves the belt too, so not all the power of the 6-D batteries is going into firing the darts.
Anyways, I can already see it, people making super long belts and mounting this thing on top of a structure and just raining darts down upon everyone.
I think that with six D Cells, the battery power used to move a belt an inch will not be very great. I assume this will shoot very far, and get the dart there very fast.
Either way, I can't wait for this sucker to be released.

Actually, I have seen about a 10 foot increase in my range surprisingly.
Unfortunately I need more darts to test it and use it, as a few of mine have gone missing (Damn cats) or have been mangled due to the faulty loading system and the magazine popping in the lowerdart thereby owning the higher dart when I go to load it.
Although that problem was always there...
And by the way, I am working on going over the duct tape with something then painting that.
Probably red and black, and probably NOT with Enamel paints this time, the paint is already starting to rub off.
And I am working on getting less blurry pictures. Should have them in about 20 minutes or less.

I just duct taped 'er up and off I went.

Other than the duct tape, it looks nice, but hey, it work for you, great. The pictures are a bit blurry, as you and nerfturtle have said. I like the foregrip- is that a smaller gun in it?

Hey, this is my first Modification. Some of you may remember a month back when I asked if I could semi auto the Recon. Well, due to those dreams being shattered and broken (DAMN YOU!!!) I decided to start doing random mods to my Recon CS-6.
I ended up painting it, adding a new barrel, applying a shotgun loading mechanism thingy, and a grip.
Really, there are only two mods here (New Barrel and Shotgun) but I said 3 because of the Grip... although I guess the paint is KIND of a mod... so it's a quad mod... (Hahaha, thats fun to say)
ANYHOO!
This is my Recon, more or less done. I used Duct Tape as part of the paintjob and to hold everything together. Yeah, it doesn't look professional, but hey, it works.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures! Please leave me some feedback.
The barrel is a chrome tube, as I couldn't get my hands on some copper and the grip is just a piece of PVC tubing cut to size.

I would have to say the Recon.
I know it hasn't had a lot of praise from these forums, but I really like it.
Ever since I bought I have had it Jam once because I made it jam (Testing out other darts)
and I find it really comfy in the arm with the stock. Although, yes, the stock does need strengthening
it is still a good gun.

Well, I am sure it isn't impossible to make it Semi-Automatic, it would just be very hard.

Well I was talking more well.. lets take a scenario (Note: This is the reason I can't wait for the Vulcan)
Your in the midst of a battle and the guy infront of you has an easier reload system (Long Shot, pump shotgun, something of that sort) You fire off a shot, miss, have to adjust your whole posture to get to the top and duck a possible shot at the same time.
Rather than that, why not have it reload upon firing? Please note, this was just a suggestion.

So I recently bought myself a N Strike Recon CS-6. The problem I found with it is the reload.
It takes a while and sometimes I get it stuck or don't load it all the way.
So, I came up with an idea but I wanna run it by you guys to see if you think it would work.
Would it be at all possible to make it so that when you pull back the trigger it pulls back the
loading mechanism and fires a dart, thereby allowing a new dart into the chamber, and upon
moving the trigger forward again it would load in the dart. Please, let me know if this would
be possible. If so, then great, if not then I'll have to come up with something else crafty...
Oh, and yes I am relativley new to modding. Really the only thing I have done is painted my
Recon (in progress).

I cant return the gun though. I have already opened up the gun, voided the warrenty, and threw out the box and reciept. Damn me for being so optimistic. Meh, I can still fix it...hopefully.

I just asked my dad about it, and he said he was gunna try and get some crazy glue, and that plubers goop wouldnt work because it doesnt harden. I need something that will stick part of it to another part...Ill see if I can find my webcam so I can take some pictures.

I recently opened up my magstrike, as it had a leak. It would only fire 1 dart after 32 pumps or so. So i opened it up, and now I have founbd the leak, attempted to epoxy it, but now all the air just comes out at once. I maye have some pictures at some point...PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Oh and, the epoxy broke when I put the gun back together...if that is relevant at all!

I have been searching through the boards for a while, and this nerf gun called a "Stefan" and its legendary...ness keeps coming. I was wondering, What the hell is a stefan? I picture of one would be nice, but an explanation would be ok too!

I put some A B Epoxy on mine. It looked ok, until we got it back together. As soon as I got it in, the epoxyu snapped.

Hey, I have the exact same problem. My dad and I found a hole in the white part connected to the air bladder. IIts looks like something broke off of it. We are trying to fix it right now. Heres to hoping it works! 
And if it does, then I will let you guys know! 
*EDIT* Plumbers Goop wouldnt work. It is non hardening. You need something that will harden and hold the gun together!
