#176054 Nf + Sspb Vertical

Posted by nerfboi on 08 September 2008 - 09:13 PM in Modifications

Its kinda common sense though. But props to you on making the write up.

It may be common sence on what to do but it's quite confusing if you're new to nerfhaven or this is one of your first mods. My friend thought it was challenging. ( He just joined. )

I know how that feels. Really though, This was a decent write up. There was one that was complicated. So this one is easy to understand. So good job. I was like that when I first joined.

EDIT: And nice paint job on the NF.

#173537 Breathing Plastic Dust/fumes

Posted by nerfboi on 29 August 2008 - 10:33 PM in Modifications

I'm taking a guess and saying that dust will just irritate your breathing. But the worst can happen is it will collect up and you will be breathing hard? For painting, I HIGHLY hugest one of those high grade respirators. I painted something for my bike ones and only use one of those dust masks and I had a hard time breathing for a week.

#173519 What Is The Largest Amount Of Stefans

Posted by nerfboi on 29 August 2008 - 10:14 PM in General Nerf

Who gives a fuck?

If you need 400 stefans for one war or you can make that many in one sitting without taking the hot glue gun to your eye, you're doing something wrong.

It seems to me that most NJ people are always asses to people.

On topic: The most I've done in one sitting is around 100. But that was because I had a little war with family the next day.

#173328 Condom Bow

Posted by nerfboi on 29 August 2008 - 01:27 AM in Modifications

Have you tried filling the original plunger head with hot glue? and while the glue is still how, it will make the plunger head comform to the plunger tube, and while drying, it will make a somewhat perfect seal? I don't really know semming as I have never tried it. I just thought of it.

#171830 Nf Plunger Rod Help

Posted by nerfboi on 23 August 2008 - 05:35 PM in Modifications

It said to spread some petroleum jelly around the threads on the tube itself so it will be easier to remove later on.

#171807 Nf Plunger Rod Help

Posted by nerfboi on 23 August 2008 - 04:07 PM in Modifications

Ok, I was doing maintenance with my NF, and I remember seeing how a member made a mod that showed how to reinforce where the plunger head meets the plunger rod. he used a long screw and a hex nut, I think, to help it hold better. Does anyone know the size it was? or where the thread is? I'll try to get a paint pic up to help explain.

EDIT: Also, I got "Plumbers" goop, but it says Household Hogar instead of Plumbers. Is this fine? It's from Amazing Goop.

#171280 External Tank/pump Question

Posted by nerfboi on 21 August 2008 - 03:10 PM in Homemades

Is it the this one?
40565K33 - Compact SS Case Gauge +/- 2% Accuracy 1-1/2" Dial, 1/8" NPT Male Center Back, 0-160 PSI = $6.06
- That's from McMaster

#171274 Nitefinder Mod

Posted by nerfboi on 21 August 2008 - 02:54 PM in Modifications

As Lt. Stefen said, wouldn't the barrel fly out because the brass on brass on somewhat lose?

#171263 External Tank/pump Question

Posted by nerfboi on 21 August 2008 - 01:42 PM in Homemades

Ok, now I have 1 more question. I know im not going to fill it more that 70PSI, so what kind of gauge should I use just so it will let me know how much pressure is left. Like if I were to look at it, it will read 70PSI, and then shoot the gun a couple of times, and then look at it again, it will tell me how much PSI I have left.

#171258 External Tank/pump Question

Posted by nerfboi on 21 August 2008 - 01:31 PM in Homemades

Ok, so I should stay at 65ish PSI MAX?

#171248 External Tank/pump Question

Posted by nerfboi on 21 August 2008 - 12:58 PM in Homemades

Ok, I'm going to build the tank, I jsut have a question, For the semi auto AT2K, anyone whats the highest PSI it can take? THe video said he did 55 but is that the highest?

#171246 Eliminator Internals

Posted by nerfboi on 21 August 2008 - 12:49 PM in Modifications

Dude, you must be rich because I saw your youtube videos, and you have like 3 different longshots, and others things, a crossbow, AND a plusbow. Lucky rich bastard. Back to topic, I knew it would be like that. I don't really expect much, but by looking at the spring, it could surprise me. Looking forward to the mod.

#170171 Hornet Issues!

Posted by nerfboi on 17 August 2008 - 11:30 PM in Modifications

Drill upside down? I guess thats it.

#170151 External Tank/pump Question

Posted by nerfboi on 17 August 2008 - 10:49 PM in Homemades

Ok, I'm trying to make the semi automatic AT2K shown in this video. I just want to make it so, when my tank runs out of air, I can just switch to the pump with a flick of a switch. like this . But I can't find those anywhere.

EDIT: jeres a pic to somewhat help
Posted Image
If I wanted to use the pump, I would just turn the ball valve in the off position, and just pump because theirs no 3rd way for the air to go to. Right?

#160267 Recomendations On Paint

Posted by nerfboi on 24 June 2008 - 03:04 PM in General Nerf

anyways

spray paint is nice

Say what again. SAY WHAT AGAIN. I dare you, I double dare you, motherfucker. Say what one more goddamn time!

WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT

WHAT are you going to do about it? And yeah, your cool for trying to act tough over the internet. Dumbass.

Back on topic. Usually, I just use krylon with primer, top coat, then clear coat.
But everyone recommends Vinyl Dye or Krylon Fusion for plastics. But I haven't try any of those. But I'm pretty sure those are your best ones. And you can find Vinyl Dye in most auto stores/shops.

#158472 No Cpvc

Posted by nerfboi on 09 June 2008 - 12:28 AM in Modifications

I know Lowes does. You could check there, that's if you have one near you.

#157856 Aluminum Plunger Nitefinder

Posted by nerfboi on 02 June 2008 - 11:14 PM in Modifications

Don't bother machining a new plunger head. You can use steel and rubber washers to get a much better seal. I'll post the parts you need when I get back from work.

I would be interested in that. Could you please?

#157553 Lnl Plunger Head Problems.

Posted by nerfboi on 31 May 2008 - 03:07 PM in Modifications

Or if you can't find a screw with a wide enough head, you could use a screw and washer combo.

#157541 At2k Mod (write-up)

Posted by nerfboi on 31 May 2008 - 11:45 AM in Modifications

Nice Job, but it's hard to understand without pictures. All writeups need pictures.

Anyways, I don't completely believe your ranges, but I'm not going to start an argument about it.

Its a SINGLED AT2K. It gets those ranges easily.

#157521 Lnl Plunger Head Problems.

Posted by nerfboi on 31 May 2008 - 12:37 AM in Modifications

You could try to screw it on. that always works(I guess).

#157339 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by nerfboi on 28 May 2008 - 11:06 PM in Darts and Barrels

2'', for me at least. I just went outside and tested a batch of darts, be sure you glue the weight down, to prevent it from moving inside the dart. If you don't they will fly in circles, killing accuracy out of a high power blaster.

Ok, then I've been making them the right lenght. Also, what do you use to weight it with?

#157231 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Anyone know the best length for mega stefens?

#157180 Paint Job

Posted by nerfboi on 27 May 2008 - 04:53 PM in Modifications

fairly simple. paint the gun flat black. then mask off some triangles with some wide blue painters tape. then find yourself some purple acrylic paint and lay down the 2nd coat. Then clear coat it a couple times with matte coat.

Matte coat is the flat clea coat right? If so, where can you find that? I looked in Lowes and Walmart, but I cant find anything but shiny clear coat.

#157026 Different Doubled Nightfinder With A Paintjob

Posted by nerfboi on 26 May 2008 - 02:25 PM in Modifications

Pretty good paintjob. But I'm not a big fan on red and flashy PJ's. kinda off topic, but how to you cut your plexiglass or what ever that stuff is?
