And does anyone know when or if they're ever coming to Canada?

#45279 The General, General, New Player Guide

*sniff* I smell troll...

The billy goats gruff are crossing your bridge, shadow.

#44719 Best New Gun

Posted by Spectre2689 on 23 December 2004 - 11:24 PM in General Nerf

What about all the Atom Blaster guns suck?

From Lanard, your best bet is the Maxshot, or that bazooka-type-thingy whose name escapes me at the moment.

#44718 New Way To Breech Load

Posted by Spectre2689 on 23 December 2004 - 11:22 PM in Modifications

Or put a 19/32 piece of brass on the gun, and stick a couple inches of 17/32 in the back of a 9/16 (I'm sure there's a way).

#44627 This Is Wierd

Posted by Spectre2689 on 23 December 2004 - 01:10 PM in Off Topic

What the fuck is wrong with you? Shut up. Be on your way. If you're lucky, in a couple months, we might think you're a decent person. That's assuming you don't start stupid threads like these again.

#44625 New Rifle In Its Infancy...

Posted by Spectre2689 on 23 December 2004 - 01:05 PM in Homemades

How about a magnetic catch? Just a thought.

[EDIT] What I mean is maybe have two magnetic strips imbedded in the wood in the inside of the magwell, and two magnetic strips imbedded in the wood on the outside of the mag. Then you could easily slide it out, and it would stay in place otherwise.

Wow, there IS a God. Thank you, God!

#44587 New Way To Breech Load

Posted by Spectre2689 on 23 December 2004 - 12:46 AM in Modifications

Wait, so it's like a normal breech, but the dart goes in to the barrel, and the barrel's wider. Not so much new as an improvement (and I use that word loosely) on an existing method.

#44445 Reviews

Posted by Spectre2689 on 21 December 2004 - 12:48 AM in Off Topic

Also, it's very rare that modded guns are always EXACTLY the same, so there could be a mod that's rated very highly and some idiot goes and tries to do the mod. Then it turns out like shit. And then he complains. You see the possibilities here? Bad idea.

And consider how many different mods there are for all of the guns out there. You really think there's gonna be reviews for all of them?

You sir, really need to STFU once in a while.

#44444 How Do You Make Them?

Posted by Spectre2689 on 21 December 2004 - 12:43 AM in Homemades

Four I think.

Nerfnewbie, if you would kindly look near the top of your page, there is a small link four words from the left that says "Homemade". Guess what's there? That's right, homemades! All sorts of ideas just ready to come together in your mind!

And what's this? A search function in the top right of the page? No way! Maybe it's useful?

Sorry, I know this is Ompa's job, I just couldn't keep it in anymore...

[EDIT] Good point taita. I feel justified in what I said now.

#44375 Easy Strap

Posted by Spectre2689 on 20 December 2004 - 11:09 AM in Modifications

That's awesome Ender, that's EXACTLY what I was planning to do with my NFs with the same inspiration. Never thought of using velcro. I'm assuming you can pick strips up at a Home Depot or something?

#44374 Personal Mesages

Posted by Spectre2689 on 20 December 2004 - 11:06 AM in General Nerf

For a second there I thought it was asking how to send Personal Massages. Now THAT would've been a question.

#44373 Release…?

Posted by Spectre2689 on 20 December 2004 - 11:04 AM in General Nerf

Goddamnit, they went and uglified my beauty! It looks like it's pregnant now...

...(It wasn't me, I swear)

#44167 Matrix Skit

What the fuck?

#44125 Nintendo Ds

Posted by Spectre2689 on 15 December 2004 - 10:04 PM in Off Topic

If not, probably shortly after. They did a short thing-a-ma-jig on The Screensavers the other day (yesterday?) with the PSP. Apparently it completely blew the DS away. Score one point for Sony. Now about that battery problem...

#44035 Flash. Movies. Games.

Posted by Spectre2689 on 14 December 2004 - 06:46 PM in Off Topic

A couple more are www.abum.com and www.stupidmovies.com ...atleast, I think that's what they are.

#43963 Mod Your Ste[f]ens

Posted by Spectre2689 on 13 December 2004 - 08:43 PM in Modifications

Mike was still shit…even with the good darts.

Ass.

Yeah, I figure about one and a half hours to make 100 darts on your own. Maybe even two hours if you're making them well. It's a lot easier if you have a friend helping you though. Like have him straighten them and put the weights in them, then glue them yourself, since that's gonna be what really affects your dart quality. Unless the dart itself is screwed, of course.

#43941 Flash. Movies. Games.

Posted by Spectre2689 on 13 December 2004 - 04:44 PM in Off Topic

Albino Black Sheep. All Canadian, baby. Coincidentally, it also has some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. Like that Elvis video. I just couldn't get enough of Bert eating a baby...

#43940 Airapache

Happy birthday man. Double up.

#43939 Mod Your Ste[f]ens

Posted by Spectre2689 on 13 December 2004 - 04:39 PM in Modifications

5/8' long dart? Something tells me no.

And for 200 darts, i remember me and BW stayed up late one night before a war making something around 300 darts. As a 2 man team it took us maybe 3 hours or so.

#43878 Christmas Day Poll

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 07:00 PM in Off Topic

Actually my dad has an iRiver. The battery lasts about triple what you just said, if not more, and I've never had any problems with it stopping in the middle of anything. It's actually a better, more functional, slightly larger, much more expensive version of the iPod. And it's made by a different company. But since I only have a 20GB iPod, i say this.

I piss in your iRiver.

#43877 Sweet Fan-created Halo 2 Trailer

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 06:57 PM in Off Topic

You guys all know that Xbox2 isn't backwards compatible with Xbox games, right? Right. Halo 3 on Xbox2 will not only hurt their sales (which they love soooo much), but it will be inefficient.

#43856 Nerf Mod For Any Gun

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 11:45 AM in General Nerf

I suppose if you had a wireless one and hid it on a commonly used route, it could be a good warning system, but that's about it, assuming you want to keep your eardrums when you shoot a dart. Especially in a spring gun.

#43854 3ds Max

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 11:43 AM in Off Topic

"Map" is pretty vague. Are you talking about a real map? A street map? Geographical map? Maybe a game map? Detail, sir, detail.

#43852 F.e.a.r.

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 11:29 AM in Off Topic

I agree with Fuse. I just stopped playing the game simply because it was the same stupid shit over and over again. "Oh no, the lights went out, better grab my flashlight to beat zombies with it since it does more damage than the fucking pistol." Yeah, I thought Doom 3 was going to be good. I was very disappointed. We'll have to wait until FEAR comes out to make real judgements.

#43851 Mod Your Ste[f]ens

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 11:23 AM in Modifications

Alright, suppose taping the darts actually improves accuracy. Is it practical? If you're making 200 darts, are you going to tape every single one? Even if it were a drastic improvement, you're going to lose most of your darts in a war anyways, so why not just use your basic stefan? If it's inaccurate for you, you need to learn how to make stefans better. Even if you make a stefan that you think is perfect, there's going to be imperfections in the dart that make it go apeshit in mid-air sometimes. Live with it.

#43826 Mod Your Ste[f]ens

Posted by Spectre2689 on 12 December 2004 - 12:00 AM in Modifications

Yeah, but they're not stefens either. They're stefans. And I think doing that would make the darts even less accurate.

#43825 F.e.a.r.

Doom 3 killer, anyone?

#43482 A New Form Of Homemade Dart

Posted by Spectre2689 on 06 December 2004 - 11:06 PM in General Nerf

I think I understand what you're trying to say, but...wouldn't that hurt just a little? I can't imagine how safe a pen cap can be when attached to a piece of foam and shot out of, say, a crossbow.

#43462 Aiming With Nerf Guns

Posted by Spectre2689 on 06 December 2004 - 06:47 PM in General Nerf

Sights really do me no use. Most of the time I guesstimate where the barrel is pointing. It's not the gun you need to aim with, it's the barrel. If the barrel's pointed at the target, chances are the projectile is going to hit the target. At longer ranges you'd probably need to compensate for projectile drop. But in Nerf you're not really all that far that you'd need sights to aim. Most of the time you're up close and don't have time to use the sights anyways.

#43366 Sven-coop

I saw that recently, but I'm waiting until they release it for Half-Life 2.

#43303 Where To Buy

Posted by Spectre2689 on 04 December 2004 - 11:14 AM in General Nerf

Thrift stores are great for finding old guns. I got BnA at my local Goodwill for 99 cents.

#43288 Half Life 2

I just beat it today. I can honestly say I didn't have enough man to gun time with the upgraded grav gun. (drool)

#43150 Nerf War

Posted by Spectre2689 on 02 December 2004 - 11:53 AM in Nerf Wars

You're aware that he's just trying to help you not get branded as a fucktard by the greater majority of the forum-goers, right? In general, people with better grammar have their ideas taken more seriously than people with AIM speak.

"i got dis awsum new gun, an i made dis new mod for it. its so kewl!"
"I picked up a new gun at the store today, and I'm working on a mod for it. So far it's doing really well."

Which one are you going to take more seriously?

#43149 Grammar!

Posted by Spectre2689 on 02 December 2004 - 11:49 AM in General Nerf

I guess the English language is wrong. While we are not making capital letters, let us take out contractions too. I mean, it could be pretty egotistical if you spelled out the statement in its shorter form, could it not?

No offence, but your philosophy sort of clashes with common sense.

#43057 Art

Those are awesome Groove. Consumer Whore Bar...

And yeah Tait, the signatures look a little big on here. Usually when I put them on forums I use HTML and resize them manually. The top one is the one I used to use for my Call of Duty clan, and the bottom one is just a generic signature.

#43028 Art

Goddamn Taita, that was hilarious. You're so deliciously evil.

Yeah, I mostly do graphic arts. I'll occasionally do flash, but I tend to stick to graphics more. I'd like to try my hand at 3D stuff, but for now I'll just get better at what I do. Here's a couple examples of my work:

Both are signatures, not the best though, they were done over 6 months ago. Since then I've learned a few new things, such as brushing techniques and masking.

#42939 Nite Finder Barrel

fu

Officially the most useless post ever. Dear sir, you suck. Please do not come by here anymore.

On topic, I never thought about using the air restrictor that way. I may try that next time instead of just drilling it out. Mine has a 4 in CPVC barrel thats "telescoped" (opened up about half-way, then closes). It's hard to get it in to the telescoped portion, but it shoots ridiculously well if you manage to get it in there.
