#252291 Silencing Your Longshot.

Posted by Hi Yah on 01 October 2009 - 06:57 AM in Modifications

Pretty much the only way to silence a gun is to fill it with foam and add padding to the plunger. You could add a weaker spring addition to make it a bit quiter.

#256843 Nitefinder Rifle Question

Posted by Hi Yah on 20 November 2009 - 07:37 AM in Modifications

Use 1" PETG from petco. It will fit the stock plunger tube pretty good. I believe that's what kbarker used.

#232036 Longshot Mod

Posted by Hi Yah on 23 May 2009 - 01:07 PM in General Nerf

If you are very good with your hands and a dremel, and you follow directions well, you can do an Angel Breach. If you can't, then get some CPVC from Home Depot and single it.

#272850 Titan Problem

Posted by Hi Yah on 20 April 2010 - 09:57 PM in General Nerf

I've heard of people fixing this problem by lubing the pin and then putting goop on it.

#244551 Stormfire Clean Easy Ar Removal

Can't the hot water deform the plunger tube?

#230684 Help With Frankenfinder

Posted by Hi Yah on 16 May 2009 - 09:27 PM in Modifications

Are you talking about putting a longshot plunger tube and plunger head in a nitefinder? If so, then I'd recommend a bbb and a nf.

#254248 I Need Help With A Female 1/2" Npt Coupler

Posted by Hi Yah on 21 October 2009 - 06:54 PM in Modifications

Why don't you just remove the coupler and replace it with a slip CPVC coupler?

#253993 Replacement Xbow Trigger And Catch Springs?

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 October 2009 - 07:44 PM in Modifications

Home Depot sells a pack of small industrial springs that come in all shapes and sizes. These have work great for me in a variety of guns, so I don't see why it won't work with a crossbow.

#245750 Solvent For Plumbers Goop?

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 August 2009 - 06:00 AM in Modifications

In my experience with goop a little elbow grease should work most of the time.

#226673 Stefan Dart Tutorial Video

Posted by Hi Yah on 27 April 2009 - 07:45 PM in General Nerf

I wouldn't recommend using Frost King foam or using scissors to cut your foam. If you use a razor blade your cuts will be cleaner, straighter, and the darts will fly better. You might also want to put your cut blanks in the dryer then proceed on making the dart. Other than that it was a good tutorial with clear and concise directions.

#245751 Another At3k Question

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 August 2009 - 06:02 AM in Modifications

With a tight barrel I would recommend 6 inches.

#255627 What Type Of Tubing Will Fit 13mm Fbr? *resolved!*

Posted by Hi Yah on 07 November 2009 - 07:13 PM in General Nerf

Just take your foam to different stores and check the fit in various barrel materials. It's as easy as that.

#253867 Questions About Making A Rscb Clip

Posted by Hi Yah on 18 October 2009 - 06:58 PM in Modifications

Don't use brass. Use 1/2 inch copper to make the clip, this will fit the darts loosely and fit in the t-coupler. Use
1/2 CPVC for the barrel. CPVC will give you a tight dart/barrel fit, which you want when using a RSCB.

#239422 Pistol Splat Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 30 June 2009 - 01:57 PM in Modifications

I say just use epoxy for just about everything. And the gap in the plunger head I would reccomend filling it with goop. Also, make sure to lube every moving part and to add another catch spring.

#234335 Noob Question But.....

Posted by Hi Yah on 04 June 2009 - 07:47 PM in General Nerf

The only difference would be the density and circumference. It all depends on your foam. You pretty much just have to pick one that fits your barrels good, and that is pretty firm.

#230439 Hornet As-6 Mod

Posted by Hi Yah on 15 May 2009 - 06:37 PM in Modifications

Good write up. There aren't too many thoroughly explain hornet write ups.

#275353 Big Blast Question

Use JB Weld. You can find it in a lot of stores.

#247879 Couple Of Questions

Posted by Hi Yah on 20 August 2009 - 07:02 PM in General Nerf

At wars people are expected to bring their own darts. To fix your rotation issues on your maverick I would do cs's mod and trigger spring relocation.

#274962 I Need Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 16 May 2010 - 06:06 PM in Modifications

Just use a rubber washer to create the seal. That's what Ryan201821 used on his rear loading DTG/AT3k integration.

#266330 At3k Barrel Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 21 February 2010 - 03:38 PM in General Nerf

#274039 Big Bad Bow Modding Trouble

You have a tampon on your gun. There's your problem.

#273322 Extended Draw, Cpvc Couplered Nite Finder

Posted by Hi Yah on 25 April 2010 - 06:45 PM in Modifications

I have found that wrapping e-tape around the plunger tube where the front of the shell is and then hot gluing the plunger tube in works quite well. It also is easily removable, unlike your method.

#270354 Washer Based Plunger Heads And Replacement Plunger Tubes - Please Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 26 March 2010 - 06:14 AM in Homemades

The PETG I got from Petco only said "1" thinwall tubing."

#254473 Rscb Clip Stabilizer?

Posted by Hi Yah on 24 October 2009 - 07:22 PM in Modifications

On my RSCB'd bbb I just twisted the clip so it's pressed up against the side of the gun.

#258621 Specific Nightfinder Question

Posted by Hi Yah on 11 December 2009 - 07:39 AM in Modifications

Just fill it with epoxy putty and sand it smooth.

#248186 Crossbow Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 22 August 2009 - 08:03 PM in Modifications

I really want a crossbow but dont have alot of money so I was thinking using slugs mod to it I could make
homemade internals for a crossbow shell.

is it possible?

Please dont ban me!!!!!

So you want to have a crossbow shell with + bow internals? That can be done, but it will be hard. Unless you are really experienced at modding and machining parts you should not attempt this mod/homemade.

#240766 Issues With Opening A Vulcan - The Slide

On my Vulcan I could remove the bar with my hands pretty easily.

#226952 Topic Outline

Posted by Hi Yah on 28 April 2009 - 07:40 PM in Site Feedback

When I went on here today and went in a topic not only that I've seen but also posted in, I saw only the original post. I thought, "that's weird. What happened?" Then I looked at the bottom and noticed this weird outline thing at the bottom. It looked just like the homework I was supposed to be doing, except about Nerf. I clicked around a bit, and realized that you had to click to see each post. I thought "man that's weird. Is there a way to get it back to normal?" Well I haven't found a way. Is there? And am I the only one who noticed this? Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I just logged out and noticed this wasn't an issue. How do I fix this?

No, I happened to me also.

#250683 Maverick Mod Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 17 September 2009 - 06:30 AM in Modifications

You should try putting one of the air restrictor springs in the front of the turret and then put on the metal rod. That will increase the seal. Also, toss a few pennies behind the spring that'll give it a bit more power.

#226864 Lock N' Load Problem

Posted by Hi Yah on 28 April 2009 - 04:20 PM in Modifications

Have you lubed the plunger head yet? If not, that is most likely your problem.

#251051 Maverick Mod Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 20 September 2009 - 07:29 PM in Modifications

I'm sorry I don't get what you mean when you say rebarrel the cylinder. Also the barrel has been rotating a little bit funny, how would this effect the firing?

If the rotation is messed up, then the turret won't lign up properly with the plunger tube. This will create bad airflow and the ranges will suck.

#237119 Keyboard And Screen Sie Issues

Posted by Hi Yah on 18 June 2009 - 11:45 AM in Off Topic

Take a compressed air can and use the straw to blow out dirt from under the keys. You can find the compressed air can at Office Depot.

#230786 Help With Kbarker's Nite Finder Rifle

Posted by Hi Yah on 17 May 2009 - 02:00 PM in Modifications

He is using a 1/2 inch CPVC coupler to hold the barrel. Those couplers fit snugly inside 1/2 inch PVC couplers. I believe thats what he did. It must be some type of reducer that goes from 1/2 PVC to some smaller size.

#240993 Ea Announces Next Nert Wii Game

Posted by Hi Yah on 09 July 2009 - 09:30 AM in General Nerf

The "nerf decoder scope" reminds me of the flip down target on the lnl. I wonder if the gun will be sold separately from the game, because I won't buy a game just for a gun.

#252785 Bbb Spring

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 October 2009 - 07:52 PM in Modifications

I would recommend using a recon spring, with 1.5 of a nf replacement spring, and a PVC coupler cut to 0.75 inches.

#264533 Cpvc'd Air Tech 2000

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 February 2010 - 07:44 PM in Modifications

Try drilling out the cpvc with a 1/2" spade bit. It'll give the barrels an air-gun fit with most hardware store foam.

#255397 Rscb Bbb

Posted by Hi Yah on 05 November 2009 - 04:00 PM in Modifications

Nice job. I personally think that bbb's work wonderfully with RSCB's.

#237487 Hornet Madness

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 June 2009 - 07:23 PM in Modifications

Unless you are a pretty good modder, I wouldn't even bother fixing it. The hornet is pretty hard gun to mod, even fir experienced modders. The end result won't even be worth it. You bought it at a garage sale, so it probably wasn't more than $5. If I were you I would scrap it. It has tons of parts.
If you really want to fix it, I would submerge the internals in water and pump it and see if bubbles come. If so, then goop up the spot.
