#232184 Dremel Accident

Posted by 123caviler on 24 May 2009 - 09:44 AM in General Nerf

Carbon where do you get those? I've looked (maybe not hard enough) at 2 different Ace's but with no luck. I really want one of those.

#222069 Ebay Filter (tweaked)

Alright just delete the URL, it takes up to much space

#222066 Trigger Question

Posted by 123caviler on 06 April 2009 - 07:23 PM in Modifications

If you had three tanks on the same blast button, it would make it a shotgun. I would recommend a homemade smdtg trigger and connect each of those to one of the tanks. This would make them semi-auto instead of shot-gunned.

#222007 Ebay Filter (tweaked)

Posted by 123caviler on 06 April 2009 - 04:24 PM in General Nerf

I actually have to say, his is better, much better. Your filter has 7,629 results and his has 521.

EDIT: You have to delete the space in between the nerf - ( blah blah blah) so it looks like nerf -(blah blah blah)

#219866 My Disk Shot Mod

Posted by 123caviler on 25 March 2009 - 09:37 PM in Modifications

Post this in the mods/paintjob thread. Don't make a new topic for every gun unless it's groundbreaking in some way.

#219865 Ratchet Blast Re-barrel

Posted by 123caviler on 25 March 2009 - 09:34 PM in Modifications

Ugh, my neighbor gave one of these to me but tried to mod it first and ended up breaking it completely. I can't believe that kid.

Nice job, this is one of the few mods for this gun, if not the first.

#219677 Very Cheap Fbr

Posted by 123caviler on 24 March 2009 - 06:15 PM in Homemades

Anyone seen THIS foam?

6 bucks for a hundred feet is good enough for me.

Yep and this is from there site...

All orders below $25 will incur a $5 processing fee.

Which still makes it only 11 dollars so maybe a good deal still.

#219220 Lanard 2009

Posted by 123caviler on 22 March 2009 - 09:22 AM in General Nerf

Am I the only one who sees the those different types of darts on the sawed off shotgun? They almost look like stefans or maybe converted dart tag darts.

#217266 Very Cheap Fbr

Posted by 123caviler on 10 March 2009 - 06:14 AM in Homemades

I was just looking at FBR on google shopping and I found this. It is $7 for 240' but I am not sure about shipping so I don't know if this or the other foam is cheaper. If someone else wants to buy this foam and write a review about it they are welcome to. I just want to get good foam for a good price.

~nrg

Can you please read it before you post, that says it's 7 dollars for 240 Inches, not feet. That would be the difference of 3 cents a foot and 35 cents a foot. If it seems to good to be true, check it.

#212724 Noob Brass Question

Posted by 123caviler on 16 February 2009 - 11:36 AM in General Nerf

On topic: McMasters sells brass, don't they?

Yeah they do, but ace online sells it cheaper.

#212587 Noob Brass Question

Posted by 123caviler on 15 February 2009 - 08:44 PM in General Nerf

I have checked Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Home Depot, Lowes, ACE and TrueValue but have yet to come across brass. So yeah, buy it online.

#205188 The Longshot Contract.

Posted by 123caviler on 21 January 2009 - 05:56 PM in Modifications

So while I was watching this, I wondered did you follow Hetricorps mod or your original?
This is a great job and I'm sure some person paid good money for it.

#202690 Where To Buy Modding Materials

Posted by 123caviler on 11 January 2009 - 07:03 PM in Modifications

What would be a good dremel piece to cut plastic or metal?
Would this work well?

#200657 Goodwill Find

Posted by 123caviler on 02 January 2009 - 07:12 PM in General Nerf

It isn't worth much since there is already the Reactor, which still is worth hardly anything.

#200017 The Silentfinder

Posted by 123caviler on 31 December 2008 - 04:50 PM in Modifications

I think if you really want a quiet gun but still gets good range you need an at2k. I didn't plug the pump or do a pen mod, but I did replace the barrels w/CPVC and it is completly quiet.

My At2k, I didn't plug the pump or do a pen mod, so this is pretty much silent but still gets respectable ranges from 40-50ft. May get a paintjob or plug the pump but not in the near future.

Salindin_naz: Those are extremely nice paint-jobs and mods. You have a great skill.

Moz: Schweet cosmetic work, I wish I could do that. P.S. What did you use for the thing on-top of the barrel?

#199620 Japanese Nite Finder Rip-off?

Posted by 123caviler on 29 December 2008 - 07:25 PM in General Nerf

I was visiting the local 100 Yen store down the road and dropped in on some little department store that was selling a green nite finder ripoff.

What would it be worth back in the USA? It was about $20 here.

I'll take one too if it's not too much. Assuming things in the 100 yen store cost 100 yen, that's barely over a dollar.

It didn't cost only 100 yen. It's like the at3k twin pack at dollar general.

That is my current Screwdriver. I need a better one to get some extremely tight screws out. I know that it needs to be #1, but they say things like #1x 3.25" or #1x 2". Which one do I get?

#195973 Disc Shot (ar Removal, Removable Crayola Barrel, And Extra Barrel Hold

Posted by 123caviler on 13 December 2008 - 09:39 PM in Modifications

Wow, those are real believable ranges. You couldn't even get that out of a singled pump plugged titan. This should also be in the Product awarness thread as it is not a real write-up. I wanted my 100th post to be special, but oh well.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't read the ()'s and I meant Mod/paintjobs thread

Effeminate FAIL on my part

#195971 Home Made Forts

Posted by 123caviler on 13 December 2008 - 09:36 PM in Off Topic

What is up with all these new people posting some random shit? I am sick of all these people who don't care about what they post.

#195911 The Phoenix

Posted by 123caviler on 13 December 2008 - 05:15 PM in Modifications

That is an amazing first post. I can't even believe this is the first time you posted and it was a mod write up! and a good one at that.

I think that you should stick an RSCB clip on that and you have a beast of a gun.

#195467 Screw Problems

Posted by 123caviler on 11 December 2008 - 04:21 PM in Modifications

I used to have problems unscrewing screws, but then I figured out that it was the screwdrivers problem. I had the same kind that Forsaken_angel24 has, but then I got one with a better grip and haven't had a problem since. Hope this helps.

#194798 Longshot Cs-6 Value Pack

Actually, Target Longshots are on sale for $19!!!!!!!!

So, the Target deal is better.

#193604 The Magbreech!

Posted by 123caviler on 02 December 2008 - 09:38 PM in Homemades

I have a Dremel 300 series, is this a good model for rotary tool? Also, are the diamond cutting discs that come with them good for cutting plastic, 'cause mine normally just melt the plastic. If not what would a good blade look like?

On topic:Even if you did get this to work, which would be a pretty difficult task, the rubber-band would wear out and you would have to make another breech. Also, how would the clip come out and in of the breech, what would it latch onto?

#192866 Binding Wood And Pvc

Posted by 123caviler on 29 November 2008 - 09:24 PM in Homemades

I would recommend J-B weld but it is a little bit harder to find. Epoxy or goop should do the job right though.

#192708 Barrels

Posted by 123caviler on 29 November 2008 - 09:46 AM in Modifications

If you can find brass anywhere (ACE, hobby shops, online, or true value I think) then bring a dart with you and see what a good fit would be.

#192054 At3k Pump Extension

Posted by 123caviler on 26 November 2008 - 11:33 AM in Modifications

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this has already been done here. I think that this is a great idea though.

#190699 Christmas List

Posted by 123caviler on 19 November 2008 - 07:17 AM in General Nerf

To get back on topic, I think that if you do not have the proper tools for modding a gun, such as a dremel, that would be first on the list. At least for me.
But for Christmas I would like......
A vulcan
LS, already getting it
BBB
2 NF's
more cpvc
and brass

I have a dremel.

That's why I said if. I was also talking about other things too, like band-saws or whatnot.

#190545 Brass Barrel Replacement

Posted by 123caviler on 18 November 2008 - 04:55 PM in Modifications

Alright since we're talking about barrel fittings, what is the "Polyester" on McMaster-Carr like? Is it more like CPVC, 17/32, 9/16 or in-between?

#187661 Mav Barrel Replacement?

#187575 My Nightfinder/longshot

That's really cool looking. Really different styled foregrip.

Uh, it's not a foregrip...
Read the posts before yours before you post.

Although those do look cool, please refrain from making new topics for every mod you have. Instead, post in the Mod/paintjob thread that is stickied

#185200 Longshot Carbine

Posted by 123caviler on 23 October 2008 - 08:59 PM in Modifications

P.S. What's up with everybody using the phrase "Spoon feed you imformation" lately?

I saw it used so and I thought it was a good phrase, so I used it.

#185189 Longshot Carbine

Posted by 123caviler on 23 October 2008 - 08:12 PM in Modifications

Why have you made 8 topics about how to do this or where you can find a mod for something? We are not here to spoon feed you like a baby! Just search, and if you don't come up with anything try and be your own problem solver. Just about every mod needs to have the gun taken apart but you could probably pull off not having to open the gun on this mod if you don't want it to look amazing.

#183720 Frost King Foam

Posted by 123caviler on 14 October 2008 - 05:25 PM in General Nerf

Dennis brand is the brand mcmaster has. I am in love with it. Off topic: I just cut over 200 pieces of foam in like 1 hour, I love it!

#183682 Frost King Foam

#183575 Sspb Barrel Replacement Problems

Posted by 123caviler on 13 October 2008 - 09:15 PM in Modifications

Because of the air output, CPVC might be too tight. CPVC normally isn't used for any air guns. Is the pump plugged on the SSPB?

Yeah there might be something block the air outpot from coming out of the barrel, Try re-gluing the barrel and maybe even looking for a different barrel material for your darts. Also not to flame but there Darts not bullets.

No, the pump isn't plugged. What barrel material should I use? They dont have brass in our local lowe's. just copper. I might order some PETG though. And sorry for calling it bullets. My friends call them that, so I get mixed up.
Poke
EDIT: I forgot to mention, the barrel is kind of like the NF stock barrel. Like its... slanted. I tried a micro dart thats really small, like its pretty loose in the barrel, and it wont fire. Is that why?

I would plug the pump, and try that. If that doesn't work, PETG is a good option, as is 9/16 brass if you can find it. There may be some glue blocking the air output, which would act as an air restrictor.

I wouldn't recommend plugging the pump because I broke mine by trying to reglue the 2 parts together.
I do agree with TantumBull because if it isn't the air output, it is the barrel material.
