My friend has had a magstrike for a while and we did a few mods, banding the bladder and removing the clip safety thingy. Well we screwed up with the pump because we thought the hole in the pump was an opv so we filled it with hot glue. This hole was for the check valve when you pumped the gun, so when we filled it, the glue crushed the valve. So we figured we'd do a pump replacement and get around the old valve, we ended up with this.



and you may ask what is that strange valve thingy? Well we cut the old pump out and epoxied the stem valve from a bike tube into the hose. This allows us to hook the gun up to any bike pump between games and fill the bladder in only a few pumps. He only has one clip so it works fine for him.



Then we just banded the piston and banded the bladder with sections of bike inner tube.



Thats the majority of the mod, the gun gets 2 clips out no problem, the ranges suck because the aluminum for the barrels hasn't come in yet. It averaged about 38' with a few shots going a little farther one reached 45' (yay...) If my friend finds his other clip or he buys one we are going to do the whole CaptainSlug 20 shot clip thing. He is trying to find a small ball pump to hook up to the gun so that it can be attached to the gun, but we were lacking one and it was the day before one of our nerf wars.

and out of boredom we cut the front off the case, but that is not done yet, it needs to be sanded and smoothed out.

Does anyone know what PSI the magstrike bladder is rated for? Because my bike pump can get over 60 psi and I am wondering what the bursting point is. I can't open up one at the moment because I do not have my friend's handy. So can someone throw me a bone?

My friend and I were working on his magstrike and we did angel's mod, took out the green thing and filled that with hot glue. We plugged the hole on the piston and sanded down the shell. I checked all the tubing and there is no leak. I taped the o-ring on the pump and filled the hole in the middle with hot glue and it worked great, solid 50-60' with two clips because thats all we had. But now the pump just bounces out and the bladder holds no air. I am guessing that the one way valve broke but I am lacking in any pneumatics knowledge and am loathe to take apart the air system without a clue.

I did the cpvc mod for my firefly and it gets really shitty range in comparison with the stock barrels. Thinking this was the air just getting out from the mediocre seal on the back of the turret i did nerfturtle's seal improvement and it is now worse than after i did the cpvc barrels. Help please?

I know its a POS, but I'm broke and can't afford my LS yet.
