I've searched.
I've read.
I've done everything, except ask for help to try and solve my problem, this is my last resort.
I spent the afternoon modding my NF. It's one of the purple and yellow generation NFs. I did the basic AR removal. This was done correctly, I still have all the pieces, and I cut out only what was necessary.
After that I scored and hot glued my 3 in long 1/2 CPVC barrel to the appropriate spot. From there, I added 2 wraps of e-tape to the plunger. I didn't leave it running rampant around the edges, but I cut it down, and it's just adding two layers underneath the o-ring only. Along with that I added a small circle of craft foam to the plunger.
Finally, I added e-tape around the plunger tube's connection with the barrel, sealing any air leaks.
I'm firing my stock Tagger Darts, and I'm barely getting 25 ft. I've modded another NF, but that only has the AR Removal, and E-Tape on the Plunger Barrel connection. I also hacked off about an inch at the front, just enough to remove the angled front part of a stock NF. This gone achieves 30 ft, at the same angle.
I'm confused as to what is wrong with this. Are the 40-50 ft ranges reported by others with Stefans only? I really don't know what I've done wrong.
The only clue I've got is that my barrel material may be to tight.
I would post pictures if I could but, the camera is broken, and my cell phone won't send pictures for some odd reason.
Help and opinions would be much appreciated.
