We're on track for a record number of Ohio wars, and this one won't be the last. This war will be going down in the Dayton, OH area. More specifically, Tipp City, OH (15 minutes north of Dayton).

LOCATION: HATHAWAY PARK

Directions:
There isn't a set address, but here's how you get here:

-Get on I-75 and get off at exit 68 (Tipp City/West Milton)
-Head east on Rt. 571 (The street you hit when getting off the hwy). It will be a right turn if coming from south, left turn if coming from north.
-turn right at the next light (There will be a BP station on your right. I think the street name is Garber Dr.)
-Continue through the first stop sign. You will pass a dentist's office, and a few houses on the right, then the park is there on your right and left. Park anywhere on the street. If you hit a second stop sign you've gone too far.

Time: 10am-whenever

Rules/Regulations:

Standard rules, no singled titans, sm5k's, the like. We'll test it gameday on you from point blank range to see if it's usable. Protective eyewear is strongly recommended, as this isn't a huge field. There is a creek running through two of the areas, and some playground equipment as well. Gametypes will vary, I'm open to suggestions. As usual, bring water (there is a drinking fountain, but it might be closed up for winter by then), guns, ammo and anything else you think you'll need. Please bring your own darts as well, I'm tired of losing 200+ darts at every war.

Well, since we got kicked off campus and officially disbanded, the remaining active nerfers here in Cincinnati are planning to host an outdoor war this fall. It's not too far away, but here are the details.

LOCATION: Boone Woods Park, Burlington Kentucky

-Get on I-75 and get off at Kentucky 18 (Should be something like exit 182)
-Head west on KY18
-turn right onto Veteran's way (it's a couple miles up the road)
-Continue all the way to the back of the park. You should reach a dead end, and see a massive wooden fort off in the distance.

Okay, so you want another shot on your oh-so-revered primary, huh? Well, this writeup will show you how to integrate an at2k into your crossbow cleanly and quite easily. I've had requests for more information on how I did this mod, so I'll spell it out once to help everyone.

Materials:

1 x Crossbow
1 x Airtech 2000 internals
1 x 1.5" long or so drywall screw (or equivalent)
1 x Dremel w/cutting attachment
1 x Tape measure
Duct tape (if needed)
Extra vinyl tubing (if needed)

Okay, let's start with a reference pic. Bottom crossbow is in teardown mode, top is the finished product, which we'll get to later.



First things first, open up your at2k and remove its internals:



Next, open up your crossbow. For this mod, we're going to focus on the dead space below the plunger tube:



Now, you're going to need to create some room for your at2k pump to go, so remove this tab (you won't need the screw that goes in it):



Next, get out a tape measure and measure 7" from the front screw tab:



Then mark a dot at that location and place the at2k pump in the shell to make sure it will fit. Once it fits, drill a hole in your crossbow shell just a bit smaller than the screw you have to go through it. Now, place the screw in the hole and once again make sure your pump tube will fit and rest comfortably against the tube. The purpose of this screw is to hold the pump in place so that when you pump it, there is support and your at2k guts don't move around.



The next part is to make a path for the pump handle to rest in the shell. Notice the cross like shape of the at2k pump handle? Well, lay the pump handle and tube assembly in the gun to see where you'll need to make some cuts:



Then, cut a cross type pattern in the front of BOTH HALVES of your shell in order to fit the pump handle's body. Once again, make sure your pump handle will fit, test close the shell, and sand everything down. Your hole for the pump to go through should look like this if you've done it right:



Now, all that's left is to figure out where you want the gun itself to come out of. On my first variant, I cut off much of the original barrel exit area and placed the at2k tank itself right on top of the shell. This is a viable option, although for my current iteration, Michaelangelo, I wanted a different layout. All you need to do for the layout that I have is to widen one of the holes along the crossbow's body (above the plunger tube), and extend the tubing on your at2k. Then, run the lines through the shell and out the side, and as you can see I just duct taped the guts to the side:



That part is really up to personal preference, but I like how mine turned out.

And there you have it, a clean pump location for an excellent 2-shot primary.
