Topics I've Started

The Box Rifle

30 January 2010 - 09:57 AM

So I had some pvc and an old water gun lying around gathering dust and I was wondering what to do today. So I began to build:

Some shots of the pvc fully constructed:

That now is pretty much the gun completed, sorry I didn't show you how to do that, but some parts were customized by heating and bending and can not be found in stores so I thought I'd just show you it.

Then I hotglued some mdf onto the mofo and taped it all up. (not sure why i taped it, but oh well)
Since this is a loser (for some reason it changed the long ranged gun into loser here) you guys will never see what it looks like until it's too late, so I thought screw the aesthetics.

Home made plunger head:

I have this mini lathe like thing which allows me to shape rubber, so you can imagine that this has a pretty beastly seal right now.

It's length is a mere eight inches and so looks very boxlike.

It hits 92.3 ft average after twenty pumps, but is hard to pump and very loud. My friend rigged up this limiter piece in the pump tube which means I can't pump it too high or it'll let it all out. I don't know the exact limit, but according to catmods message my previous assumption was wrong and it probably only uses 27.69 psi. (worked out assuming that the pressure is thirty percent of the average range)
I've seen homemade pump guns before so I'm not claiming originality or anything, but this was my first attempt at a homemade and I hope y'all like it.

This is not a tutorial I am only showing how my gun was made and its performance.

T20 Pistol (improved)

So hey guys this is my first post, but I don't want any sympathy for that so don't worry.
I know what you're thinking 'tommy 20: fail gun', but mine has never had the jamming problems everyone goes on about and is quite a fun gun. This isn't really a write up cause my account just got verified and I did this mod some time ago. So without further ado here is the little beast:

So basically I sawed off the stock, replaced it with a detachable nine volt battery clip thing and put a battery pack on it.
I did this because there was a lot of debate about a nine volt battery burning the motor and I didn't wanna risk it.
The paint is a mixture of hammerite (plastic paint varient) and 'plasticoat.'
constructive criticism is appreciated, but flaming is not.

Kudos to Ubermensch for the mod.

EDIT:Btw the scratches and scuffs are from recent mini wars and are not a result of painting.

Thanks for checking this out. STCVKR.
