Checked into NH today just to see how the community has changed. I remember Ryan's work and how it encouraged me. Saddened to hear of his passing, and hoping the best for those touched by his presence. Rest in peace, Ryan.

How is your barrel/dart fit? Extremely loose? Loose? Quasi-loose? Air guns are supposed to be loose, but not too loose. 9/16 in my AT3k results in shit-poor ranges for an AT3k; 17/32 gets me the ranges that are usually reported.

I use CPVC, and the dart fit is kinda tight. I know air gun seals are supposed to be loose, but everyone I see used CPVC, and they got great ranges. So, I assumed this was the only way it was done. Are your darts loose in 17/32 brass? My darts are tight in 17/32.

Have your replaced the barrels? Because depending how you held the gun to saw off the air restrictors, you may have ruptured the values. And people get 90ft plus out of this gun by plugging the pump.

Yeah, with CPVC. How should I hold this thing so the valves won't crap out?

Sam, I'm really sorry to say that I won't make this one. I've really got to get myself over to one of these things.

In Topic: Free Rice To Help Starving Children

This isn't a charity-only site.

It's a game with an incentive to donate rice to starving children. I like how it implies that children will be fed by playing a game. Geeze, 100 lbs. of donated rice will feed dozens of children anyway. I guess it's the thought that counts.

If you really want to help feed starving people, go down to your local soup kitchen and volunteer 2-3 hours a weekend. Now THAT's really helping out starving people. Playing a game can hardly be construed as "helping".

Awesome. You're my hero, Piney.

Anyways, Piney is right. This site is more to raise awarness than to play a game of "Meal or No Meal". No matter how extensive your vocabulary is, these people will still get fed. But since this is non-profit, they need help to support them. Kind of a "Help us to help them" deal. That's probably what the site is for.

But for the record, my vocabulary level was nearly 40 after 35 minutes.
