Hello and Welcome to Psychoswan's return to nerfing with my write up of the BuzzBee Hunter Bolt action blaster thing.

First off the gun is pretty lousy stock but that was a given. I bought it because its a new mechanism and that is intriguing to me.
First off I cut off the stock because I have big hands and they didnt fit. Im gonna add a handle later.
I also cut down the barrel, im gonna use it as a pistol anyway

Now open her up and this is what you see

The rear piece on the bolt can come off as it is only cosmetic



So The seal is actually on the side of the bolt



And is transferred through this collar



AH the air restrictor. Grab it with some long thin pliers and twist till it pops off.



Now drill it out with a small drill bit. It'll end up looking like this



And without the AR



I nested a small amount (about .75 of an inch) of a roseart barrel inside the bolt



Here it is put back together and with my handle added




And is it just me or would something be awesome integrated into the stock



Im getting about 20 to 30 feet but its a fun little gun.

ACCIDENTAL DOUBLE TOPIC

Remember when no one really had game systems and computers rocked?
My favorite game of all time is to this day Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2.
That game rocks like no other.

Ok this is my first write up, and its kinda after I already did the mods, but I’ll do my best to make it clear.
I know the Doubleshot has gotten a lot of crap, but I think it’s a pretty cool gun.
Ranges aren't great out of the box but with some modding I rather like it.


I recommend removing the air restrictors in the shells.

Ok first you need to saw off the barrels. A hack saw is the easiest way.
As you can see I decided to cut just in front of this screw, I thought it would be more structurally sound that way.

Then you open it up by removing the screws, don’t bother unscrewing the ones on the barrels you won't need that part unscrewed.

Here are the internals

Here's where you can cut the string.

Take out all the pulley stuff, you wont need it anymore


Cut a whole in the back end of the gun so you can put the string through


This is where you'd attach the string (you can use the stock string but mine broke so i added a shoestring instead)

This is how you attach a string to the cocking thing if you want to, or you break the normal string.
Loop the string around (ignore the smiley pencil, it’s the easiest way to demonstrate)

Take the ends through

Tighten and you’re done


Here is a close up of the string coming out of the end

I tied a key ring on the end to make it easier to pull
This is the craft foam I added to cushion the impact when it swings open




Personally I find this mod makes this gun quite a bit more fun. You can now open it with one hand. Its very Boondock Saints or Desperado esc, of course the fact that it is bright yellow and blue takes away from this, but it's still cool.
The ranges are decent for a $10 gun and perfect for a indoor war.
I consistently got 40 to 45 feet using cutdown streamline darts
