I tried posting this once, and it didn't seem to work. Here are my two paint jobs, the Retaliator was a rushed project, I'm only disappointed in my own negligence, I didn't sand the blaster at all for some reason.

I guess I'd say it's up to preference. I have never had experience with the Brute, but Bobo's video tells me that it's a pretty alright blaster.

As far as safety, I typically require eye protection for all players and anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  I require slug style darts with no exposed metal, and ask people not to use poorly made darts if I see them.  I don't allow homemade air guns, modified water guns, singled titans or anything else that's too overpowered.  If you encounter the police, tell everyone to stop playing, and put your blasters down on the ground.  Act friendly and polite, and have a brightly colored stock dart in your pocket to show them.  Stay the hell away from bystanders and stop the game if someone gets too close.  I think that pretty much covers it.

Thanks a ton for sharing that video on freshening old darts, by the way, seems like it'd be a huge help! Also, another trick would be that you can put some of the old arrows on the front of a barrel of a blaster like a tech-target eliminator, and you can fire the arrows (although at a much decreased velocity). Don't really know the practicality, but it's silly.

I don't have any pics, but since I've only been able to go to wars with a 110 FPS restriction, my loadout has varies week to week. I used to run nothing but a modded hammershot, dumb? Yes. Did I have anything else worth using? Not really.

Now, however, I can run a LiPO powered Rapidstrike with that Hammershot, making my loadout MUCH more complete, and man do I love that rapidstrike now. I'm tempted to commission the same person who did my Rapidstrike to work on a Boom Nitron, just because it would make a silly secondary, and it would have some use in terms of blocking areas off on our small-ish soccer field arena (also, the discs would inevitably ricochet EVERYWHERE).

Again, I've only been to the RFDL's wars, so I don't have anything SUPER crazy that I'm running (I also recently tried to mod a Retaliator with an OMW kit, and a metallic grey/cobalt blue paint job that I'm going to be issuing to friends who want a good loaner).
