Posts I've Made

Wow, Forsaken_Angel, that's pretty...

..."picture-esque"

Sorry for taking so long to reply, but the morning after I posted this (Tuesday) , a squirrel grounded our electric and phone lines. Of course, our electric company came two hours later, but Verizon completely screwed us over and came earlier this morning.

Anyway, I used "American Traditions (by Vaspar) Interior/Exterior ULTRA ENAMEL Flat Black" spraypaint.

See, it's better because they use the word "Ultra". Anything with that in the name is instantly a superior product...

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like. I enjoyed making them.

Oh, for the SM1000, the actual bolt is made from a small rectangle of this "nifty" PVC sheeting my dad found and got for me last Christmas. It's about 1/4 thick, and I used a drill to drill a small hole through it, and then drive a flattened nail through it (ended about flush with the end of the PVC sheet). The sheath is made of 300 PSI PVC, which is pretty sweet for loose fits where you don't care about air loss.

The barrel is 14" (I believe) or 1/2 CPVC.

The only thing close to red was fluorescent orange, so humor me okay? ;)

Heh, glad you guys like. It would be pretty awesome to have Batman suddenly whip out a mav from his utility belt, but of course he doesn't use guns...

Thanks guys. I have one more yet to do, a black, possibly "rust" speckled Firefly, but I need to pick up another can of flat black before I do so.

The 2-3 more powerful shots would be better, but the shots all depend on how long you depress the trigger. From three years of nerfing, my trigger pulls are fairly the same in terms of depression time and pressure.

I made this beast, because I've come to the realization that my entire clan uses AirTechs, or other such long-ranged weapons all of the time, no exaggeration. Even I do.

So, the irony is that it's still an airtech, but not.

...

Anyway, I'll test it next war and let you guys know.

First Secret Shot mod? Man. I feel special.

elf_avec_gun, you make me feel retarded in a good way.

That is how I should have done it.

...how I can do it...

It's actually a lot simpler than that, although it would work better and more efficiently the way you described it. I'll have to modify the design...thanks!

The way it works is you turn it to the side to expose the breech, pull the barrel forward, drop a dart in, push the barrel back. Then you turn it back.

...Saying it that way after I could have made it work by the turning motion...

Man.

Sorry to dissapoint.

As in all my mods, I really don't care about aesthetics one bit. To misquote thirst, I believe, "I'd rather have a big pink dildo that fires stefans 200' than an amazingly sexy peice of gun that fires them 30' "

In Topic: Blastfire "clip" Modification

I don't do modifications for the aesthetics, I do them for performance. I tested it in the war for a round, and got two kills. The BF itself had some leaking problems, but the clip worked nicely.

Halfway through, the glue holding two barrels died, but the duct tape kept it in place. I'll have to find a way to reinforce it more thoroughly, but other than that, it worked great.
