I hope we can re spark stuff here but, we don't even have a  2018 War thread, and the front page still links to the 2016 list.

WHY THO 

For NH Admins 

Anyway, set out to revive NJ's Nerf scene, we have a war that's a collaboration between a ton of nerf groups in the area, (PhilaNerfia, Yolostock, NY Nerfherders, NYCNO, and CT Nerf) Therefore we set a centralized location to play!

Some important notes are 
- No hard tip darts like domes or FVJ's (Slugs and SCS allowed though!)
- 200 FPS (bring all your blasters if you can anyway, we'll have a hi FPS round)
- Min age is 12 with a parent, 16 without. This is not a daycamp
"PARENTS - This event is not a day care or a summer camp. This is an event run by irresponsible foul-mouthed college aged kids. There is no adult supervision, no liability insurance, and no one who will take responsibility for your kid. People frequently get bruised, and occasionally get minor injuries consistent with other sports and outdoor activities. If none of this scares you, congrats on being an awesome parent! But if you wouldn't let your kid go off into the woods to play paintball with a bunch of teenagers unsupervised, maybe skip this one."

The event will take place one : Saturday, March 3rd. 9am-5pm
You do not have to attend the whole day, however that'd be appreciated

When? November 18th, a saturday of 2017 from 9 AM(EST) to 4 PM(EST) [or later!]

So some basic rules 
1) Don't be a dick
2) Basically, anything goes up to 300 as long as it's firing safe darts (no FVJs or sharp tips) and not painted any realistic or tactical color. Half lengths, full lengths, meet those rules and you're good
3) Call your hits and help dart sweep when designated!

And you're good!

Bring eyeprotection, and lots of darts! If you can make it only to the South Norwalk train station, one of us might be able to pick you up if you let us know in advanced! 

You can bring anything to this war and it can be competitive! Note that 300 FPS does not mean all blasters will be shooting anywhere even close to that, most things should be 200ish, and won't be up close so upon impact it'll feel a lot less painful. The engagement distances are pretty far. 

Confirmed amount of people going as of November 17 : 15+!!!

The war starts AT THE FIELD 10:00 am EST, Saturday March 18th.

It may be rainy or snowy. No rain date, bring extra clothes just in case. Nerf in the rain is fun anyway, 

 

LOCATION
Exact coordinates are : 40.782278, -73.963951  
Put that into google maps, we're going to MEET here and start playing. People who've been to past wars know where it is.

DIRECTIONS

However, Google maps will take you to the Met (find a way here than get over to the waypoint on the map below).
 So get to the met and than follow this photo.

Here is the EXACT place you should meet us. Like somewhere close to the fence near the highway, you should be able to find it. 
 

 

RULES  
1)Don't be a dick. We'll ask you to leave, just cooperate and listen  
2)Anything you do that impedes the movement of the dart is a hit. From your shoelace to your blaster, to the fluffs of your hair and your loose t shirt.  
3) Don't dartsweep until the rounds over. If you're dead or waiting to spawn, you don't dartsweep. You may if you're alive, but the field has to be cleared so there's no confusion of who's in or not.  
4) I'm not going to outright ban any blaster, but you shouldn't be doing more than 150 FPS.  
5) Call your hits. Cheating is despised and won't be tolerated,  
6) No physical violence, common sense applies. Don't do what you don't want to be done unto you. There's a police station next to where we play 
All rules will be stated again on site to clarify.

-Yourself (plus ones if possible)  
-WATER  
-Good attitude  
-Darts (lots, 100 at least I would say)  
-EYEPROTECTION!  
-Blaster(s) (loaners expected, not guaranteed)  ESP a magless and maybe awful
-Money (for food or water if needed) There will be an after party

GAMETYPES (will be explained on site)

Expect 3-15 and other nerfhaven gametypes!

Rounds are going to be shorter and fast paced, so we can have more rounds. Long drawn out rounds have not worked because there was so much attempted dart sweep

We're re explaining our rules and going to try and get more organized for the event.
There also will be a relocation attempt soon, any ideas of places we could play (preferably Manhattan) would be great and highly appreciated. (reward possible)
THERE WILL ALSO BE AWFULS AND/OR MAGLESS ROUNDS, PACK BLASTERS THAT DO NOT USE A MAG (usually designated by CS if nerf brand)
