I'm back for my once a year check in.
Looking for anyone that has a Caliburn, a chrono, and a willingness to answer silly questions. If you are near south central PA, I'd even be happy to borrow you and your blaster- I have the chrono and the ammo.
Before I spend the cash for testing this myself, what I'm looking to answer is whether some of the higher powered springer blasters can launch 50 cal FSR paintballs at the same speeds as nerf darts or faster, which are about the same weight. They are a hard shelled projectile, so the smaller barrel diameter such as 13mm may be needed to get a consistent tighter fit and provide less drag. I'm planning to make custom mags for this later if this works out. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this project other than being the nerdiest paintball player out there. Yes I am aware that low powered springer paintball markers are available, but they are not high powered, they don't shoot FSR shaped projectiles, and they don't look nearly as tacti-cool.
I'll probably forget about this post in a few days. Ill turn emails on but you can also find me on twitch under Ratzkie if you would like an instant response if I'm live, Friday nights for now.
