Just received my order so I'll give a short review on it.
Pros:
1) Same length as regular Elite darts
2) Cheap price: 400 Homdox darts for $17.59 as opposed to 200 Koosh darts for $20.00
3) Fast shipping: Delivered in 9 days through Amazon
4) Soft head: HvZ and NIC legal. Note, the head is slightly squishier than Elite darts because the tip has thinner rubber.
5) Slightly stiffer foam
Cons:
1) Less accurate and more fishtailing than regular Elite darts due to : lighter weight and larger "whistle hole"
2) I don't have access to a chronograph but I've noticed a slightly slower FPS. Reviewers on Amazon also reported lower than average FPS compared to Elite darts
In short, if you have a HvZ game coming up in less than a few weeks, buy these cheap, slightly-lower-than-average-performance darts.
I've actually considered the Rough cut. The problem however is that I've seen when fired, sometimes darts pop out of their chambers, preventing them from firing next. Is there a way to fix that?
You can try rebarreling the Roughcut with brass tube for a tighter fit. Just make sure the brass does not interfere with the smart air restrictors.
Stony Brook University for in-state college. Tuition is about 4 thousand dollars. It is an hour and half from the city by train and a little more than half an hour by car. We have a HvZ club along with a smaller Nerf group. Also, keep roboman's side note in mind because it is very true about mechanical engineers.
