Hey guys! Anyway, I'm modifying a panther and I'm having a problem. When I shoot just the tank by itself, it gets great ranges! But when I put it in the shell, it gets sucker ranges. Why? It has standard OP plugs and a 1/2inch CPVC coupler. I need to correct this problem! Any help is appreciated!

Tommy Mech 20 Voltage Increase, Stock Mod
04 February 2013 - 06:13 PM
Basically, all this gun really is an experiment for a later gun. So here is my new gun I have finally finished! (took me about three months from start to finish due to my schedule) I decided to do a write up on it.
Warning: PICTURE HEAVY!!!
What you'll need:
Tommy Mech 20 (no shit)
Soldering Gun
Solder
Wire
9-volt connector
9-volt battery
Hot Glue
PVC stuff
Adhesives (Bondo, Epoxy, Epoxy putty, etc.)
Undo all the screws. First the stock, then the body.

Here is an internals picture for reference.

Unsolder the wires on the back of the battery tray.

Remove all the metal plates in the tray.

Remove this if you want to paint the inside.

Dremel out all this crap to fit the 9-volt battery in.

Remove all the trigger parts to paint.

Get rid of that annoying trigger guard.

Open up the holes on the entrance and exit to the flywheel part of the gun.

Solder the 9-volt connector to the two loose ends. Attach the 9-volt and tape it in the battery tray.

Put everything back in add a stock and presto! A new 40-foot-flat primary! I decided to paint mine up.

Panther Tank Problems
21 December 2012 - 12:28 PM
So, I plugged the pump with hot glue. The pressure built up and didn't leak the first day, but then when I came back three days later, it was leaking. It may not be nessessarily leaking, but once it gets to a certain point, it won't pump anymore air in. So now I gets like less than stock range. Any ideas why?

Longshot Brass Breech Question
27 November 2012 - 09:56 PM
Hello again! I am planning to do a very overhauled Longshot with a brass breech. I was curious to what the optimal brass barrels for this breech so that it will shoot like 80ft flat but its not choking the dart. I think, from what I can tell, most people use 9/16 inch brass for the outer barrel and 17/32 inch brass for the inner barrel. These are the sizes I think are right. Are they or are they not? If they are not, could you maybe tell me what is? I'm new to modding so I just wanted some honest advice. Thank you!

Longshot Upgrade Spring Help
25 October 2012 - 09:51 AM
Hello again! Anyway, I'm looking into doing a really good brass-breeched, super-powered longshot that gets about 80 feet flat. I am kind of new to advanced modding so I was wondering EXACTLY what spring I should buy for this range and what reinforcement (if any) do I need to do to the plunger head besides the brass and hotglue in the front of the plunger tube in the black piece. If anyone who knows springs from McMaster-Carr really well (because thats who im going to buy from), please contact me with your expert advise! Thanks again!
