In Topic: Why You Should Come Nerf in Houston

15 June 2013 - 11:55 AM

Hey you guys are not alone! I am a Texas Nerfer from a city called Abilene, about 2 and a half hours from Dallas. As far as I can tell, there is a college doing HVZ, but I am to shy to see if I can get in on it. Other than that, I see no interest in Nerf wars besides myself and one other in this whole damn city! It would be a joy to go to a war, but 7 hours to Houston is a bit of a stretch for me. I know that is not a big deal for some of you, but that's what comes when you live in like the 3rd largest state in the US. I have just started modding professionally and I really would like to go to a war down there but I just can't. If there was a war in Dallas, then maybe the stars would allign and I would be able to go. Anyway, just saying Texas Nerfers need to band together to stay afloat. Anyway, just clarifying my existence in Texas on this thread!

Yes, the color will show through if you don't paint the inside. It makes the color more solid.

I put together a breech for my longshot this week actually, made specifically for streamlines. I used the usual hot glue gap filler tightening rings and e-tape for loose connections and it only took 3 1-foot bits of brass to build. Im not sure how other breeches preform but the only problem i had with this was shooting white streamlines, guess they are wider than elites and oranges

That's 9/16 brass in the diagram right?

I'm no expert, but I believe a k18 or a k11 might do the trick, cut down of course. Again, I am just speaking from experience with similar blasters, and have not actually done this to a longshot.

Thanks for the input but I was thinking something like a k-25 or k-26.
