Ss2 Leak Fix

07 January 2007 - 10:57 PM

I think I may have found a solution to the problem that the majority secret shot 2's have, the leaking out the front. Most spray lubricant down the valve and it tends to work but you really need to get lube on this part.

The best way of doing this is to spray a crap load of silicon down the pump tube and let it drain down the tube to the valve, then pump it a bunch of times to get in the valve. Then repeat two or three more times, till the leaking stops. Mine was leaking so bad before that the tank was almost empty before you did the next pump, now it stops leaking at about 5-6 pumps.

Dart Tag Blasters

13 July 2005 - 12:29 AM

I made the trip to toysrus today hoping to find the FF and DTB set. They didn't have either but a trip over to walmart produced a DTB. Stock ranges were about 40', and combined with the rof of a maverick makes this one sick gun so far, who knows what a modded one will get. Anyway, heres some internal pics and a NF plunger tube comparasion.

The weird thing next to the spring is what seals the plunger with the turret, the spring pushes it up against it for a better seal.

The plunger rod and spring backing seem strong enough for a new spring, and I have one that'll fit just perfect so I'll try that when I get a chance.

I pretty much did the same thing as you would a maverick, rip out the air restrictors and cut out the poles. The seal on these pieces is a lot better than on the mav. Feel free to ask questions that haven't been answered here or elsewhere.

Back In Black

02 June 2005 - 01:15 AM

Well, I've just reglued the o-rings on the barrel and bolt and I'm hoping to have the gun shooting properly tomorrow about this time. I got it to shoot but it was only getting 20' because the o-ring on the bolt had slipped off and I didn't notice till I took the gun apart to find out why it was shooting so horribly but I got it painted yesterday so it at least looks good, even if it doesn't shoot all that hot(Yet) So go ahead and drool now.

Sorry 'bout the shaky angle, I'm not too steady crouched.
And heres a second pic from above(it turned out really strange, the ground changed color)

Far Project

20 May 2005 - 01:32 AM

Well, through out most of today and a little of yesterday I've been working on mine and I've completed the plunger and the shell of the lower receiver and started on the bolt and upper receiver. I've also started manufaturing the fire control group pieces and expect to finish that tomorrow(I got the day off from school  )

Now though it looks like just a copy I actually intend to use a smaller shell and maybe shorten the shells as well. You can't tell from the picture but I used a lighter 1/2" pvc on the plunger to try and increase ranges and combined with the micro darts I'll be using I'm hoping to break 100' with this rifle. Bolt, if you can could you explain the way you cut the 1 1/4" T couplers for the mag well? The plans weren't very descriptive in that aspect. I have a feeling someone will ask why the glue is green on the stock and the reason is I used a toothpick to mix the glue and it rubbed off a little.

Nf Cosmetic Mod

Painted with krylon fusion spring green and hunter green, modded with a 1.5" long piece of 17/32" brass gooped on the end of the plunger tube and a 4" long piece of 9/16" brass nested in a 4" piece of sch 40 1/2"PVC. I also replaced the led with a green one as you can see from the second two pictures(and burned my fingers in the process  ). The green led doesn't work as well as the stock red one because the it doesn't show up as well in brighter lighting but it's more for looks anyway.
