I have almost every crappy primary ans sidearm at my Target. But my Freddy's acros the street has at3k's, 2 for $20

. But sadly, no recon yet.

But remember, in the first post on this thread, OMC's writeup on the new gun, he said it would probably be out in spring of '08. But, oh well. At least you could buy them on amazon. But I think that the recon will just be about the same a a LS, because Hasbro didn't take 2-3 years to design a new internals. You know, how it takes them 2 years to design a new pistol.

But I have to go with Angel here. This is just going to be an awesome mini-primary, so you can move a bit faster. I am just going to carry around an NF, and the little attachements for RC.

Too bad Amazon's shipment was delayed, terribly. I guess you just have to be looking in the right Target or TRU. I've checked mine already, but to no avail.

I'm pretty fucking certain I NEVER posted a confirmed release date. It was idiots like you that jumped all over the amazon.com release date as law. I'm also pretty fucking certain I'm the one speaking DIRECTLY to Hasbro, so if there's anyone's word you should take as final, it would be mine.

That being said, just wait for them to get there. The Longshot came out and it didn't rock the foundation of our community like some thought it would. The Recon falls into the same category. You'll get one when you get one.

Target-Yes
Walmart-No
Kohls- No

I talked to the one shipment manager at TRU and he said if the release date on Amazon was Dec 15. They would probaly get them in around Jan 3, based on previous Amazon items. So all we know for sure is that certain Targets have them, TRU might get them before other stores do, and they will be availible sometime during spring.

P.S. Target had 4 on the shelf. I didnt get a RC yet cus Im hoping to get one for Christmas.

I live in MN too. I went to walmart tonight and got an LS, but there were no recons there. I am gussing that target would have it but I don't really want one very much. Good luck on getting one everybody.

Edit: I went to a super target today and they didn't have it either, which I found surprising because they had a lot of other nerf guns.

I'll bet the internals are exactly the same. The only thing that might be different is the color. Time will tell.

Edit: This thing in no way looks like it can be a side arm. Even when it is broken down.
Take the stock and front part off a long shot and do you have a sidearm? No, you have a minimized primary. I doubt anyone is going to be able to stick this in their cargo shorts and feel comfortable with running.

It seems to me it could be carried as a sidearm if one were to fashion some sort of clip holster that could accommodate the thing when stripped down. But then again, I may be mistaken on how large it really is, and if the bulk is too significant it will not matter

Besides, anticipation is what makes this holiday great.

Personally, I won't be picking one of these up. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but last year OMC you got hyped about the Firefly, and look what that turned into. No offense, I'm just saying we shouldn't get our hopes up.

Its not going to be anywhere as bad as the Firefly. TRUST me. The plunger rod goes back too far in OMC's pictures for the plunger to be small.

A Longshot isn't shitty...

Apparently it is for someone "as compilcated and wise" as him. Its probably too hard for him to mod a LS based on his "high quality" post.

So far as we know, the Recon is a bit shitty in performace. Its inverted plunger kills the distances and modding capabilities. It's like a maverick but with a clip.
