[Groove]

Alright, so after the Nerf Grand Tour I went on this past summer, I'm looking to do some good old fashioned Nerfing on my home turf. Here's the lowdown.


(Last Updated: Oct. 26th)

The What: Fall DCNO
The Who: 10-13 total (see listing below)
The When: Saturday, October 27th
The Where: "The Labyrinth" 451 Beall Ave., Rockville, MD 20850
Starting: 10am, on the dot
Ending: 5pm, play it by ear
Lunch: Bag lunch preferred, however if you have a car feel free to drive somewhere nearby

It is finally starting to cool off which provides us with a much needed change of pace as far as weather has been concerned, and not to mention it's been a while since we've had one. In fact, I think the last one was in June right before all the major Summer Wars began. So, let's talk dates.

October is a busy month for many of us, but I think we might be able to squeeze in a Saturday somewhere in there. I'm going to assume Saturdays are good for everyone since that's what we've been doing. Open weekends in October:
6th / 7th
13th / 14th
20th / 21st - (20th probably won't work for me)
27th / 28th

November is a month that's less-than popular as far as Nerfing is concerned, mainly because it's going to be frickin' cold. If we were to opt for November I would try to see if we could make any headway on the indoor venue we were looking in to. Anywho, the dates in November:
3rd / 4th
10th / 11th
17th / 18th
24th / 25th


I will be hosting this one, and if we do manage to find an indoor locale that will cater to our needs, then Capt. Slug shall be co-hosting with me. I would prefer we do this in October, so let's get to posting some dates that we are all available and go from there. I will update the original post (this one) as we progress with our planning.

I'm trying to get an indoor venue lined up out near me, but it probably won't be ready for this year.
I personally would prefer Oct. 27th, but any Saturday in November is fine too.

I will definately be there...when ever it is. I'll suggest October not November since I hate the cold. I would like the 6/7 or 13/14 only because I dont like to wait and I had lots of fun for the first thime in the Summer DCNO. But what ever, October whenever, but not November. Got to tune my LS. I'm just hoping for an indoor place.

Late October or early November would be best for me, assuming I can force convince my dad to drive me down there.

Later in October would probably be better for me since I have to march at football games every Friday night and that will probably last through early October.

I would prefer October 6/7, but as with most DCNOs, only consider my dates to break ties. I can't guarantee that some professor won't assign some random project the week before (see last year). The syllabi say things are a go for that weekend as of now.

I'm fairly open, but I will be at Hell on the 20th, so that is my only limitation for October. I'd prefer October, not because of temperatures, but because of time.

So far Oct. 27th sounds to be the best date for most people, and that is what I'm leaning towards. Let's get some more feedback before we set it in stone, though.

Next time I see Cranky on IM I'll shoot him a message, or perhaps next time he's lurking he can post what he knows about the construction at Wayside and if it's gonna be a problem for us.

Yea last time I talked to Crank their was some question about the playability of the field this season.

Hmm. The 13th sounds best for me. but Ive been waiting for this thread to arise. The Worst possible date for me is the 20th. November 10th might be a possibility for me.

My October is open. I would really like it if we held this on a Saturday though, considering the travel involved and the fact that my knee is still at about 50% since Apoc. Saturdays would be good so I could take it easy Sunday.

I am open for anything in October except October 6-7 because I am going on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History.

I'm open for any Saturday in either month, though I am leaning towards October more and later in the month. I have alot going on right now and I will need some time to sort a few things out. The choice, however, I will leave up to everyone else as I am pretty flexible.

Still waiting to hear from Crankymonky about the condition of Wayside and if the construction will impede upon our Nerfing plans...if you see him on AIM, harass him, since he's not returning my phone calls or messages.
