"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

I guess if you wanted to totally make a different type of gun, with advanced pneumatic sytems and electronic ciruits with actuators and servos, you could, but it would suck and be expensive.
and I would think about what you post a little more before you touch finger to keyboard.

The only way to make a longshot a full auto is my taking the internals of the Magstrike and firgure out a way to make it work. I tried making a scout with magstrike internals but it was way too difficult and the damn thing is too small. To make a Longshot auto is hard so if your not experianced and still a kid, like zaphod said

Wow. Just wow. There is no "Only way to do something," but I guess that doesn't need to be pointed out considering the comment came from someone who tried to put a MAGSTRIKE into a SCOUT. Let me ask one question: Are you fucking retarded?

You here alot of things these days (like how Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming out for the 360).
It is.
Nice try Bud. This information is not only from a more reliable source, but is dated after digital spy's.

No asshole. First its call a pistol mod taken from Here. I took that and placed the internals of the pistol mod on to the scout. I sreaded, chopped and dermeled and tried to make space but I got fusturated when I figured out the body of the value was leaking badly. I didnt have a replacement value so i said "fuck it, leave it for another day."

Word of advice; don't insult people who can ban you. Also, as someone who has been in those places before...seriously, not cool. Really offensive.
Anyhow.
I don't think that making a longshot fully auto is necessary, really.
If you want a gun that is full auto, such things exist. Buy one of those. A longshot's spirit, to me, is the clip-fed single-shot-at-a-time nature of it. You cock it, you aim, you fire. The only reason to make it auto would be if you need to make up for bad aim with sheer quantity of darts. This is the "spray and pray" tactic, to borrow from FPSs, and is a really bad idea in general.
For far less money you could simply put a shotgun foregrip on to increase rate of fire.
As far as it being possible...hard to say without trying it. I doubt that such a system could be constructed to be practical and reliable, or useful really. The only way I can think of would be to use a compressed air tank, but that's not terribly practical and would take a whole lot of work. And, you don't even know if that would be reliable in any fashion or even have decent ranges.
So my opinion is, it MIGHT be possible, but it would be a waste of time overall. But, then, maybe you can prove us all wrong by figuring out how to do it and showing how amazing it is. Give it a shot! That's the spirit of this place, is it not?
Side note:
There is no "Only way to do something," but I guess that doesn't need to be pointed out considering the comment came from someone who tried to put a MAGSTRIKE into a SCOUT. Let me ask one question: Are you fucking retarded?
I don't see why that makes him retarded. He was trying to do an interesting mod and it didn't work. At least he tried.
Edit:
I think i remember how he said you could do it! I think you needed to buy a cheap motor from radio shack (or two) and a few other parts to get the spring cocking mechinism and the inside barrel to go back an forth automaticaly and it would be an auto! A slow auto but it still might work!
I think a far better system would simply be to use the motors to hurl the darts, as in a Mech Tommy 20. But, as anyone who has used one of those can tell you, it's not terribly effective. I suppose you could get high-powered motors to overcome the range issue, but again, it is just more work than it is really worth.
Also, how is a slow auto better than a shotgun-grip?
Edit2: Just occurred to me, I hope nothing I wrote here is considered "backseat moderating." It isn't intended as such, just trying to point a few things out.

Ok, you do understand that you just talked shit to one of the most qualified guys on the entire site? YOU ARE A DUMBASS LEAVE AND DON"T COME BACK. As has already been said, stop talking about the idea and just do it. Few others would even attempt this seeing as this is a SPRING ACTION gun. Hell, just do the foregrip mod and the extended clip mods and you've got a really good ROF without even haveing to move your hands all that much.
Now go away and play bitch with another forum.

You aren't going to find a motor that can pull back the bolt sled on a Longshot at a Radio Shack. It would be impossible to fit into the shell otherwise. I suggest that we deal with the reality that the Longshot is a bolt-operated primary, and not waste time dreaming of ways to make it full-auto when Magstrikes and Rapid Fire 20s are sitting on the shelves of TRU.I think i remember how he said you could do it! Anyways, a full auto Longshot has four problems that I can see easily.
1. Completely infeasible. If you're going to make a full auto gun with a motor, you'd be better off starting with a Razorbeast. The motor required to cock a spring is going to be large and heavy, not to mention the battery, and the torque required to cock it would easily crack the plastic frame, shell, and bolt sled. So, now you're going to have to rebuild the whole structure of the gun out of aluminum, machine a custom interface plate, probably add a custom step-down gearbox, in addition for making allowances for the motor and battery. If you can do all of that, why even both sticking it in a longshot? The challenge of getting it to feed and shoot darts is probably 5% of the overall challenge, you might as well just make it a pure home made.
2. What would be the point? If you could have it be 5 rounds or more a second...OK. Now you've got 1/4th of an RF20, or half of a Magstrike. Only having 6 round clips is a pretty big disadvantage. Yes, if I got my drum mag working that would be mitigated, but still
3. If you're going to be firing 6 shots in 1 second full auto, how is that tactically different than firing a 6-shot shotgun blast? There are many more simple ways to make a 6-shot shotgun.
4. If, as you're saying, you're going to slow it down, then what's the point? With a shotgun foregrip I'm pretty sure I can dump a magazine in 3 seconds or less.
This whole thing sounds like something a 13 year old would tell a 12 year old to try to impress him. Not something actual modders would even contemplate for as long as I have in making this post.

OK, so link us to this 'other site' that claims to show you how to make a LS full auto.
Also, are you just replying to posts in this thread at random? You've already replied to this thread four times since he posted that. It is traditional to deal with things in chronological order, not the order in which you notice them.
