I know I am new, but I was wondering what it takes to become an administrator for the Haven. Do I have to be invited? Do I need to wait for a few years? If someone could answer my questions, I would really aprecieate it.

Administrator jobs at this site are few and far between. In the last two and a half years, only five members have become administrators (two of which were "Contributors" beforehand). Their promotion is determined by the Founders (aka those who pay to keep this place running) in conjunction with the current team. Administrator positions are given to those who have proven themselves as long lasting members of the community who have vast amount of experience. Their specialties may differ, but most are well tested when it comes to war experience.
There are two types of administrators: Founders and Ambassadors. Founders, as I mentioned before, pay the bills are the end all decision makers. Ambassadors are their representatives that do most of the day-to-day administrative work. Ambassadors have limited administrative powers when it comes to site related issues, but they are fully capable of running the forums. Make no mistake; an ambassador has broad powers given to them by the Founders. It's not a good idea to tick off a member with either of these tags, unless you like having your account disabled for the next 9999 days.
Usually asking puts you on the bottom of the list. If your accomplishments over the long term are of good quality and well received by most members of the community, you won't even need to ask.
We don't do local moderators here for a variety of reasons that would take too long to explain.
I mentioned the rank of "Contributor" earlier. These members basically contribute to the site in terms of content and intelligent discussion. Their job is to generate content and give input to site matters, but not administrate or moderate. They obtain their title in a similar manner to that of an administrator.
I hope this all helps you and any others who were wondering.
