Quick question: are Homemades allowed or not? I've got someone who wants to bring one. I'll just tell him to bring it, and if it's too powerful he can use a different gun.

What about blowguns? I'm assuming those are fine.

Case-by-case basis. Blowguns are fine but anything else will be deemed usable or unusable at the war.

The home stretch is approaching, CANO is this Saturday!

Plan to be at State Road/Veterans Park by 10. War will run from 10-4, later if people still want to shoot each other. I for one know that I am cleaning up my stuff and leaving around 3:45-4 because my sister's grad party is the same day.

I'll be bringing some tape/ribbons so we can distinguish between teams. I don't know if we have the pavillion yet or not, so I'd be wary on bringing hamburgers and such to eat, as I cannot guarantee a grill. Otherwise, food, beverages, and bathrooms are all close by.

If for some reason we get there and the woods are in use by pesky paintballers (which I doubt, cause baseball games should be going on as well), then we'll wait until the bulk of the group gets there and shift to another field.
If you want, PM me your phone numbers just in case so I can contact you if things turn shitty.

I've only got 110 darts prepared for this war. And they were color coded according to which guns they were for but the marker rubbed off so so much for that...

If this war works out we're going to have another one. We should do a fall one.

That war was hott. Sorry you Cinci guys didn't get to meet too many new people.

I scored three or four good hits with my Big Blast's shotgun barrel. Especially the one in the woods when I jumped out from the brush onto the path and unloaded on whoever was there (Corona?). Once you were all aclimated you guys did great. Especially Brandon. You were the sneaky son of a bitch of the day; you barrel tapped and shot me several times without my knowledge.

Dave and me diddled one of the first rounds of the day, that felt good even though we got pwned by the only team we hadn't killed off. .

I came home with about 40 of my original 102 darts, as well as lots of cuts all over my legs from jumping around and pulling all those crazy-stupid dodges in the field. I'm beat to shit and my hip was bothering me most of the day so I couldn't run as good as usual. It was cool getting to play in a woods for the first time ever. Totally different than my back yard or the Gauntlet where DCNOs are held.

It was a good experience, we're gonna do it again before too long I hope. Thanks for making the drive up from UC guys.

Thanks for hosting! I speak for everyone down here when I say we had a great time. Most everyone was still tired from Friday night nerf, but they pulled through. It was cool to finally meet you and Diablo, and hopefully we'll be able to do this again, and maybe scrounge up more guys and not break so many guns!

Highlights:

-Wandering around in the woods with a pink shirt on, trying to hide... seriously.
-Monkey dodging 98.7% of the shots fired at him, while making it interesting to watch. I think I got killed once or lost our flag because I was watching him dodge.
-Barrel tapping Monkey 3+ times.
-Shooting clean through some trees and hitting Diablo on the shoulder to win a round.
-Dodging all of Monkey's Powerclip rounds to capture our only flag capture of the day.
-Alex thoroughly slaughtering his BBB by ripping it in twain.
-The last two rounds. Those 2v2v2 matches made it all worthwhile for me. Definitely fun stuff.

It was a great time, great weather, and great competition! We need more ppl next time!

The war was definitely a great time. It sucked that there was a rather small showing, but it all worked out in the end. I had a lot of fun playing those 2 on 2 on 2 wars, even though I didn't win any of them. Overall it was a great time, and I'm glad that you UC guys made the drive up to Nerf with us. I'll have to come down sometime and play with you guys.

I'm so pissed I didn't get to make my own damn war....

My sister's grad party was the same day and I was gonna go nerf till around 4, then head to the party. Unfortunately the rental place delivered chairs and tables to the wrong house, so we had to go get them at 9 in the damn morning. <3

Sounds like people had fun. So none of the 4+ guys I know showed up? WTF

Yea, the only people that showed up were NerfMonkey, bpso86 (with 6 friends who played), and I. It was fun, but dissapointing that not as many people as expected came.

Hopefully we can get a larger group together sometime later in the summer/fall. I'm thinking more in the central Ohio area, so it's not as long of a drive for the Cinci guys.

I would definitely be down for another one, and central Ohio might work out better. I'm originally from Dayton, but that's still a little ways away for you guys from Cleveland.

I believe I have two weeks in between my summer quarter of classes and the start of my fall co-op quarter, so sometime late August/early September would be good.

I've kind been outta the loop with the whole modding thing, though I hope to get my plans together for a kick ass gun.

Central Ohio would be good. There's an abandoned golf course in my town, and as I said it's abandoned so we'd be able to avoid bystanders easily.

Whoever wants to take the initiative can start looking for places to hold the next one. If it's more than two hours away or so I can't do one at all until next year probably. I have to play in the marching band for every football game this season on Friday nights starting in late August so the only way I could do any wars during the season would be if they're somewhat close by so I could head down on that Saturday morning.

Theres a place i used to go to when i was little called castle park. its a bigass park with a gigantic multilevel castle as soon as i look up the location ill tell you guys.
