Location: Deal Park, Monmouth County New Jersey (directions below).

Date: Saturday, August 4, 2007.

Time: 10:00 AM through 5:00 PM or later. Arrive before 10:00 AM.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Arrive before 10:00 AM
Lunch - Pack Light, you will be eating on the field.
Liquids - At least one gallon of water or Gatorade.
Sunscreen - Spray sunscreen is encouraged.
Nerf Guns and Darts - A least one primary and one SPRING pistol, a sufficient amount of darts also.
Eye Protection (if under 18) - Eye protection is cheap and worth it, CVS and Home Depot offer glasses/goggles.
Expect to carry all items- We will be utilizing all available fields.
Clean up ALL garbage and items you bring on the field - Flagging tape, lunch items, water bottles, etc., all of these must be thrown out properly. If you leave trash behind, do not expect to be invited next year.
Follow Instructions from the Field Supervisors - Select individuals will be Field Supervisors at Apoc 07. Each player is responsible for listening to and following the instructions of these advisors; we cannot gaurantee that the day will progress smoothly otherwise.

DIRECTIONS: PLEASE CHECK THESE PRIOR TO AUG. 4, SO THAT WE MAY ADDRESS ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE THEY BECOME A PROBLEM.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit #105 - Eatontown / Rt 36 East
Follow signs for Rt 36 East - Long Branch.
Make an immediate Right at the 1st Traffic Light onto Hope Rd.
Take Hope Rd. for less than 1/2 mile, merge Right onto the ramp for Rt. 18 South
Take Rt. 18 South for approximately 2 miles to Exit #12A - W Park Ave / OAKHURST
Merge on to W. Park Ave heading East, continue for approximately 2 miles
At the 4th Traffic Light turn Right onto Whalepond Rd.
Take Whalepond Rd. for 1 mile and turn Right into the 3rd entrance for the park
There should be a parking lot immediately on your right.
If you come to a traffic light you've gone too far, turn around and then make a left into the first entrance you see.

The area designated "Trail Parking" is the preferred parking lot.
The area between "Leaf Compost Site" and "Bddy Soccer Field" offers additional parking along the fence.
The area designated "Overflow Parking" is probably a mile away from the acutal Nerfing area. Arrive early.

For those who have never been to Apoc, its a blast. The rounds start off with bikini-clad women shouting go, they end with people crying, and someone is touched inapproriately every time. Sadly, there's gonna be too many of you whipper snappers running around for the Creek, so Matt decided on Deal. The bigger the better, the Huskaroo sweater, is what I always say.

Who knows, I might even spring for a gun of my own between now and then.

I look forward to this war and the strict training schedule that always accompanies it.

A few LCMers feel a little out of the loop, Evil.

I thought we would make a decision after Deal.

Some of us that Tyndall is also a viable park to use, and we didn't really discuss which one we would prefer, as a clan.

I made the decision and if you feel out of the loop I'm sorry. The last thing I want is for the guys I've been playing with for years to think I hijacked the hosting of our greatest event.

It seemed to me that Tindall is not a park that we can necessarily divide up on the fly, unlike DEAL where we can have simultaneous rounds going on in two different sections of the park. Considering the turnout we might have, DEAL is really our only option. Tindall is big but its not varied enough for us to split up into groups as our numbers might require. I'm also not confident in Tindall being a park that could hold 50 people without drawing serious attention from police, since it is one big park. DEAL, however, like I said, is like several parks together and our ability to move around as needed would be so much better there than at Tindall.

Its just that DEAL is so much more large and we might have upwards of 50 people, DEAL is the only place with the real estate we might require. Tindall is nice but I think 25 vs 25 at Tindall could be too much for it. At least at DEAL we could use two fields at once and maybe have one team start at one field, and the other team start at the one closest to it. Could be real interesting. Let's move beyond this now and get a serious head count going.

You didn't even have to wait for me to throw my hat into the game. Of course I'll be there. This is my chance to take a shot at Forsaken_Angel, after I introduce myself first. My beautiful little photobug will be there as well to capture the event on film. Unlike Reckoning, however, these pictures will be posted quickly as she now has a Digital SLR.
