Just wanted to let you know that I am bringing at least one person with me, 100% positive. We're still trying to get 1-2 more to come with us, but it all depends on work scheduling.

OK, awesome.

I have a video camera and was going to do some videography, but having extra cameras/people to film is a huge help, since we may or may not have electricity (it depends if any people using the pavilions will let us use an outlet to charge) and my camera gets only reasonable battery life. If we could have multiple cameras going, that would make for an awesome video afterwards, whoever edits it (Me, Razer's friend, whoever) could just get the raw footage sent, then compile it.

Everyone should make extra darts for this thing, because, unlike a lawn, we have foliage and leaves and about eight million places to lose them. Also, if anyone wants to make extra to sell, you'll probably find a market here, since I don't know how much time I'm going to have to make them this summer, and no one else around me manufactures darts, though I'll have to recruit one of my friends.

I will probably be able to make a couple darts, but not that many. I can only make rattler darts (don't know what that is? go here.), and my skills are limited, but I should be able to send some with my little bro. As for the video, my brother is okay with filming as a secondary or third camera, and can also edit video footage. If someone else wants to edit, he can send you a CD with the footage.

Hey, two questions:

1. About when will the war start? Around noon, or later...or earlier?

2. About how many darts would the average person need, do you think?

Nothing specific needed here, just some general answers for a war noob's noobish questions.

I was planning on the war starting around 11-noon, but if anyone has an issue with that, bring it up, since I'm entirely open, the people who have to drive long distances should have a say.

As for your second point, it all depends on what kinds of guns you use, but I frankly have no idea, since I've never attended a real war before, so I'll leave it to someone else.

You know, 5-6 hours sounds like a lot, but it never works out going as smoothly as we hope. We normally start at 10am though. My vote is for 10.

I'd prefer 10 over anything later too. That's when I'm used to wars starting.

Rambo's right. With lunch, people showing up late, dart pickups, bullshitting around and probably other things, you have to subtract at least two hours from the total time, so if we started at noon and ended at six that would only be three or four hours of actual Nerfing, tops.

10 gets my vote.

I debated whether to necro this or not (I know how anal this forum is about stuff like that), but I decided to because A) It's my topic in the first place, B) It'd be redundant to repost the same information, and C) I felt like it.

God forbid it's been too long since I've posted on these forums at all. I've been working 12-hour days for the past ever and Nerf has been the first hobby on the chopping block. That being said, my Saturday is still free if there's still enough interest for PANO to happen.

So, if you're definitely planning on coming, post and tell me how many people you're bringing. I'd like to know if there's still interest.

With that in mind, I hate to last-minute cancel, but I think I'm going to. I can only get one friend from around here involved - due to things like school, the army, and work (the biggest culprit), most of my fellow nerfers are totally MIA. Last I heard from Razor he was only bringing one with him (four) plus NerfMonkey and jwasko (six)... I'd hate for NerfMonkey to drive 2.5 hours alone for a Nerfing with only six people. I'll probably be there at 10-ish in case anyone DOES show up, though.

After all this planning I hate to cancel (especially so last-minute), but I really haven't had adequate time to prepare and to support this war like I should have.
