I like my big (27 member) clan, I hope to see it break 50 in the future or maybe host a big war. I don't want people to get the impression that I ban guns to keep my aresenals superiority, but I also don't want to see a bunch of big purple welts and angry faces after every war.

Yes, but what if they are ten feet away. Do you shoot? You just turned a corner and someone is there, what now? Drop the gun? Get Shot? Turn back and hope they dont pursue cause you still can't shoot? You would not be shooting somebody point blank anyways. That is what barrel taps are for.
I guess I am thinking Titans are more for open terrain shots.
Or if you are going to be using it for rounding corners and such at least have a hornet hanging from the base. There are so many mature choices you can make when weilding a high power gun like the Titan.
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

I know it depends on the kid, but in my clan none of the younger members get even mad, much less cry. And that is even with guns hitting 150'+. Most twelve year olds would just cuss anyway, not cry. If everybody thinks a gun is too powerful, don't just ban it, buy a tee and an arm and switch it to two barrels. It would probably be more practical, too.Yes, but what if they are ten feet away. He brings up a good point, With a singled titan theres gonna be some serious pain. It also matters what age group your playing with. Say your playing with 10-12 year olds and they get shot and cry, then you have a problem.

(waiting for Assassin to flame me to hell)
Its bs when me, and his lil brother, are on a team, and him and our friend craig, get a singled at3k, and a longshot and a blowgun when his brother never fights he just surrenders and we both only have a firefly a bbb and a nf or 2. Our only long range weapon fires at half of the rate as the two Pros in the group with the equivelent of semi auto in nerf, and the other two guys (well Johns never fights so) well one guy has squat range and no ROF.
I think blow guns in cases like that and even mod Ls should be blocked, to make the match at least not impossibly unballenced.
And I agree, if you arnt willing to shoot yourself with it, you shouldnt be able to use it.

And I agree with the keeping the hornet on there for close encounters.

I think certain guns should be banned when their shear power makes it either unbeliveably painful, or totally unbiased, ie one team has a blowgun, and a longshot, others have a nf, and 2 mavs.

1. Matt, don't be an ass. We're talking about singled titans, not Longshots and blowguns. Either get a longshot, or stop being a pussy about being shot with it. (Sorry about the outburst, he's just been doing this crap alot lately.)
2. Get that image out of your sig before you get booted in the ass by a mod. (okay good you already did while I was typing this.)
Anyway....
I think Singled Titans/SM5ks/Ultimators should be banned from wars, but thats it. Those are the only guns that cause excessive pain.
It's stupid to use a singled titan anyway when they are so easy to shotgun mod. They take forever to load when a good LBB/Bigblast/SM/AT is just as good, and you never get to use them, cause they get banned. If you shotgun mod it, you don't have to worry about missing with the ONLY SHOT YOU HAVE, and then getting owned while oyu reload.
Probably dead by now, or something.

Yeah it was fun, but we got owned. It was rediculous. But really it was the fact that they had semi auto 75ft + losers, and we have 40ft NFs and 25ft Fireflys and DTGs. We did have one magstrike...it wasnt effective at all. Our longest range thing was a crayola cap BBB and i think a at3k singled.... not shure on that one. Owell
And i know as soon as i hit post David is gunna post his reply 3 seconds after it
Yeah on the some people will shoot themselves, it is very true, I know some that would.

The only reason that you got owned is because you had John on your team. I'll be more fair on teams next time.

First off I'd like to say you guys are getting a little off topic. Secondly why the hell are you putting this shit up on the forums instead of turning to each other and talking. If your not gonna do that I think you should get back on topic or start going to PM's.
I intended to post just my first post and be done with it, but Mobeus logged on and posted alot of retarded Bullshit while I was online. I apologize for both of us, I didn't intend for any of that to happen.
Probably dead by now, or something.

Hey guys, airsoft has become my primary firearm replica sport, and so now I just play Nerf inside my house with friends and stock Dart Taggers. The barrel tap is a great idea if you have managed to successfully sneak up on someone, but due to airsofting at a CQB facility, I've gotten into the habit of yelling surrender to anyone within 10 feet of me, with or without their back facing towards me. At the time it came into handy when I popped out of a closet in the dark and stuck my Nitefinder to my friends chest and yelled surrender. I basically scared the crap out of him causing him to jump and fire off a misplaced shot and he agreed that he was "out". I also had my Supermaxx 5K pointed to the back of my other friend and he willingly surrendered. (My supermaxx 5K is brassbarrel modded but due to the fact that I'm using stock Dart taggers, the brass hinders them from going no more than a minimum of 12 inches from the airtank, giving it a decent safe range with around 6 inches extra outerbarrel length? It shoots around 50-60 feet right now and my supermaxx 750 with a 5 inch pvc barrel shoots just a bit further I think.) I'm not sure how well a surrender rule would work out in the open, but it's definately a way to get someone out without giving them a nice welt at a close range with a modified high powered Nerf gun. It's just something that people would have to get used to if they decided on it. It's just a suggestion and my safe way of playing Nerf.

Even if two people rounded the corner on each other and both shouted surrender they would just shoot each other. I'll see how well this works in our little skirmish this weekend.

In nerf, it could work better, especially since its mostly CQB's anyway.

I think Thats a cool idea... But it wont work in all cases. In airsoft, which has become my main interest as well, AEG users are the most trigger-happy people I have met. Not all are, but alot of the less experienced ones are "spray and pray"ers.
In nerf, it could work better, especially since its mostly CQB's anyway.
Heh, yeah the trigger happy people... since I use an mp5k, it's more of conserve my ammo until I get a decent angle on someone or just surrender them. Plus, the Ref's at Airsoft Playground enforce the Close-surrender rule or else you'll get ejected from shooting someone within say, 10 feet of someone else. However they did state that shooting someone on-sight is a natural reaction so if you shot someone within a closerange instead of surrendering them, you had to quickly apologize to acknowledge that it wasn't an intention to hurt them.
I know one of my friends and I, we'd be playing one-on-ones with nite finders and we'd basically get face to face behind two doors, and we didn't want to shoot each other pointblank in the face (since our guns were basically at face level), so we just tapped our gun-heads together and called it a draw. Other times we'd be on an adrenaline rush and gun down the person reloading at any range, point-blank or whatever.
Oh yeah, to answer the face-to-face surrender crap, I would just say both of them are out or a draw as I stated earlier in my flashback story haha... It's another rule I've gotten used to in airsoft. If the two had equal level of firepower (nite finder to nite finder, or longshot to longshot etc.) then you could implement the "face to face both out rule." But if one of the two clearly has the advantage, there could be a little problem however... Say like one guy has a Rapid-fire 20 and the other one a small pocketblaster. I think a solution to that would be, whoever sees the other person first and yells surrender would still be in. Because if the pocketblaster dude was reloading his main weapon, the RF20 guy pops out and says surrender, the pocketblaster guy turns around points his weapon at the RF20, he would already be dead/elimated so he should be out. Now if the pocketblaster guy knew the RF20 guy was coming round the door or watever and was already waiting for him, both should be out. Try to get your friends or whoever to not get too trigger happy at close ranges if you're using highly modified weapons of the such because there is always the possibility of someone letting off a shot in a CQB situation. If you do intend to use the surrender rule, try not to abuse it or let it get out of hand (surrendering someone from 10 feet or more without a clear shot, shooting someone within the safe agreed range and without calling surrender, deliberately shooting someone who had the decent courtesy of surrendering you when you clearly were at the disadvantage, running away from a surrender, etc. etc.). My experience with running away from the surrender, I chased one of my friends into his closet, and pulled him out, pointed my nitefinder at his face and yelled surrender to him until he gave up... hehe I was on a Full Throtle and pissed off, but I didn't shoot him in the face. Hope that helps?

I actually won't step foot onto a field if there's a singled barreled Titan. Fuck that. There's no advantage, it's just a bitch gun. At that point you're just using it to hurt people.
My two cents,
Talio.
I've never agreed with anyone more on these forums.
