Well to start this thread I'd like to thank Yakkers for selling me this crossbow and the many people who answered my questions in my other thread. Also this is my first write-up so let me know how I did. So here goes.

First off open up your gun. This is what it should look like.

Then take out these 2 pieces. This is the barrel and the plunger tube.

Get rid of the stupid hose and the barrel by disconnecting them at the plunger tube.

Now grab a 2'' piece of CPVC.

Take your pipe cutters and bore out the inside of the CPVC.

Do this until it can fit over the end of the plunger tube like this.

Then grab your glue gun and drown that sucker in glue.

Next take your 1/2 CPVC coupler and put it on the end of the CPVC.

Then dremmel out all this excess crap until your coupler fits in nicely.

Then screw it all back together and shoot some fools!


Haven't range tested yet because its dark now will post ranges tomorrow after school.

Nice mod, too bad I will never get my hands on a Crossbow. Looks very clean also, hopefully your ranges are quite nice! I guess you never found what spring was a suitable replacement... oh well.

Indeed, very clean and nicely done. I definetely would have done this mod had I won that crossbow on Ebay. (somebody beat my by 2 cents in the last three seconds)

Very basic mod, there aren't many of those for the crossbow. Good job, I hope you and Lorretta have a good life together.

Good, but one problem. No seal. See if you can get a 3/16-1in Rubber washer in there behind the original skirt. Then get a DT3 spring in and it will be deadly. But your skirt may be better than mine, so happy hunting!

I finished range testing today. I get about 110' flat. Great for my standards. Soon will have a paint job and I will post it the paint job thread.

I don't believe any of those ranges because I have nerfed with some of the best modded crossbows out there. None of them get over 100 ft my crossbows don't get over 100ft. There is a huge problem with range exaggeration on this forum, and I think that OMC agrees with me.

My big blast doesn't get 100 feet angled on my street.
It gets about 80 feet- more or less.

Ted's crossbows do go pretty good. He hit me from around 80 feet I'm quessing at Hershfest.

About 100ft so more like 80ft.

Um your a dumbass I used the 50FT. yellow line from the stop sign as a benchmark. Then took a 25' measuring tape and I had to roll it out 2 times and it still didn't reach mine dart. It turned out to be 112'. I don't give two shits about what any of you think I had 3 witnesses there to prove it so fuck off and post a mod instead of flaming.

I wasn't a witness so I still don't believe it. Precisionnerfer go called out for arcing his NF. I'm betting there were some circumstances that called for that distance, mainly the wind and a good arc. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm siding with Ted here. We have the experience to know those ranges just don't hapen. Dark Shrimp has one of the best modded xbows on the east coast. Groove's doesn't even go that far.
