Well I haven't been on NH because I'm to lazy to search the posts anymore. But if anyone here plays Soldat finish the rest of this post.

I was planning on dropping this on everyone when I was done with it. But I figured if people would be interested in it, I would fix it up, and if nobody wanted it then I would keep it sucky looking. But it is a NERF Soldat mod. I never saw the other NERF mod, but I thought it would be a cool thing to do. So if anyone likes it and is interested in it I will make it downloadable and fix it up much better. So far I only have 3 guns and so far they look like crap. I plan on finishing but if anyone likes it I will spiff it up and make the other guns much nicer.




Tell me what you think. Suggestions and feedback if you wish.

Ah, Soldat modding... I've done a couple of those. Here's my suggestion, scale down the sprites to be proportional to the player, it'll look a lot better.

And customize the HUD with a Nerf theme. If you really want to take it to the next level, customize the character sprites. I did the with my Halo 2 mod, and it looked much more Halo 2 with Mjornir armored guys running around.

murakumo32, I have said on NHQ about if people actually want this then it will look alot better and the HUD I was planning to do something cool. But both good suggestions.
Anders- I was thinking about that, I just need to figure it out.

Yea, I'd play it. Looks cool. If there was one thing I could rec'd it'd be to swap out the Hasbro Mortar with the Titan, and put, say, an At3k where the Titan was.

Aside from that and what Murakumo said, I'd love it.

I agree with FH that the Titan should replace the "Mortar". Maybe you can put a ball gun sprite in place of gun #7, since that particular gun has short effective ranges.

Iv'e played this before, Soldat + Nerf= awsomeness.

In fact, heres a pic of the old soldat mod, which has some OLD favorites:
the old weps .

One of the funny things about this mod is that the grenades are water ballons. And the only bad thing
about this mod is that there is no sounds of the gun firing.

Thank you all for the suggestions and that you would play it. Looks like I'll have to work extra hard to not have it suck.

What is to be expected
• I will be adding the gun sounds as a cooler effect.
• The water balloons for the grenades is awesome.
• I can take out the mortar and replace it with the Titan.
• The darts instead of bullets could be arranged.
• Scaling down of the weapons.
• Completion of the weapons
• Custom NERF HUD
• Possibility customization of characters and maybe a custom level.*

Am I missing any other things?

Since it's a soldat mod, downloading soldat would be kind of good.
It's very easy to find, just google for soldat and you will find a dussin places were you can download it.

When you go to replace the titan at the rocket launcher, someone suggested a 3k, but I think a LBB would go nice there. Single shot, and has a good grenade launcher look to it to me.

You could modify the weapons for shorter magazines, longer cycling times, and longer reload times just to add some nerf authenticity. Modify the values in the weapons121 config settings. It's always fun to shoot rockets at a million rounds per second.

I see the resemblence to the normal order of weapons, but isn't it going to negate the fun of pumping the 100 some rounds into the enemy with a minigun, when all you can do is coat them in a quick burst of darts? Just a thought, I've always enjoyed this game's MG's. Just a thought

Other thoughts:

Maybe the spas could be replaced with the manta gun (forgot the name) that shoots 4 darts at once.

Not nerf mortar, TITAN!

I think this would be a good game for modding bullets, since they are actually visible, and have a trejectory rather than an unstopable, direct path.
