I was at Target today and found out that they have re-packaged and re-olored the NF again. I didn't have a camera with me and didn't purchase one, but it now has a predominantly yellow color scheme and comes in a new box. Looks much better than last year's colors. If I decide to pick one up, I will post pics.

Seems like Target is getting new Nerf guns eh? Anyways, I am curious as to the construction of this NiteFinder. Is it just like an Ex-3 or like the original NiteFinder?

It's true. He didn't paint it. I was in Target last night buying the two-player DTGs for my friend, and I saw that. It made my eyes absolutely bleed.


On a positive note, it turns out that Target is selling Titans alone (great for modding!) and as I was checking the website, it listed a "new" product:

Here's a pic of the new colored NF insides, exactly the same.


Also did range testing with no AR, vs the grey one with no AR, and they are exactly same. Also i might mention that Nerf has the yellow Mav and a yellow firefly, heres a pic, but not very good, cause its actually a pic of the box.

Haha, that made me laugh.

On a good note, at least we know that they are still making Nitefinders. I would hate to see my favorite pistol be discontinued.

I, however, kinda like the paint job. It's pretty unique.

I have been waiting for this. Hasbro is killing nerf with these ugly ass guns. I mean, The Nightfinder I can deal with because I actually like the Yellow/grey coller scheme on that. The FF and MAV are absolutely horrifying.

Perhaps they might be considering adding a new color scheme to the Dart Tag Series, and are fishing for what people like...

I'll be making sure that everyone is posting responsibly. This isn't the kiddie section the Nerf world...we don't need a high percentage of the chatter that's been happening, mostly with the people who've registered in the last two months.

ON TOPIC:
What's wrong with yellow? I think too many of the video game junkies expect Nerf to come out with color schemes that look more "realistic" or more like "____________________fill in the blank with favorite combat video game".

I said it once, I'll say it again and again; GET REAL, EVERYONE. This is Nerf. It supposed to be colorful and motley and whimisical (well, N-strike colors look pretty cool).

Most of you who whine about color not being realistic enough probably cannot afford airsoft rifles right now, so you expect Hasbro to meet your every beckon call...but as soon as you become old enough/ earn some real money, you're outta here, with comments like "I've outgrown Nerf, it's for little kids." I know the type.

Well, not Forsaken_Angel. He's Nerf to the core. Maybe he had a bad yellow experience as a child.

Yuck that is an ugly color comb.
But it does make the gun "safer" in the eyes of the police.
But I am waiting for when some crooks start using real guns painted neon colors.

To be fair it is too bright for the surrounding colors, lets say they did it Toyota Spyder yellow, with a deep red, it would suit, it doesen't fit yet I'll buy 3.

I beg the differ I love the new color scheme. I was at target and I saw the new colors on the nitefinders, I cleaned the shelf off. I walked out of target with 10 yellow nitefinders and a BBB. I think the FF and maverick looks sweet with the new color schemes.

Ironic that just as I read this my mom was at Target. I called her and she picked on up for me along with a secret strike. I think that the firefly and maverick look good, but the NF is really ugly.The NF just has too much yellow and light grey for me to like it.

I am ok with the Maverick. But I just think that the Firefly was meant to be blue, and I don't like the NF. It's not that I think that the Firefly is fugly, I just think it was meant to be blue. I am glad to see that they are continuing the NF. That's awesome. But I just don't like the color yellow. For some reason, most of the time, I don't like it.


Piney, I wholeheartedly agree with you on the subject of "realism" and such. FOR GOD'S MOTHER FREAKING SAKE, THE MAGSTRIKE WAS NOT MODELED AFTER THE #@$%%&() PLASMA RIFLE FROM HALO! I hate it when people do that. However, I do like color schemes such as the one of the silver/brown maverick in the paintjobs thread. But Nerf is Nerf. Nerf is not Airsoft, Nerf is not real firearms, Nerf is NOT GODDAMNED HALO, Nerf is NERF. Anyone who says otherwise needs to be stabbed.

I really don't like the yellow Firefly. The Nitefinder is... Tolerable. It's not really that bad, but I like the other ones better. I like the Mavericks cocking handle, with the dark gray/orange. They should make the rest of the Maverick match that.

Maybe they're possibly trying to put in N-Strike teams? Like what the Dart Tag series has - Red vs. Blue. Maybe this is going to be Blue vs. Yellow.

Yes I liked the royal blue better but on the maverick and firefly I dont think yellow looks half bad. Hasbro really needs to take the green off of it the new nightfinder though, it looks icky.
