So good, so good. Yet, I fail to see where you put your left hand (asuming your righty) when firing. Please elaborate.

The gun is so light that I don't really need two hands to aim it, but should I want a more stable aim I can grab the frame of the gun where the stock pump used to be. That's the main reason why I left that part of the shell there.

That is awesome! Is it possible to put a third clip on that thing?

I think three clips would just start to get ridiculous, plus I think it would start to get pretty heavy.
I love the bomberman logo. Do you plan on having more clips or, ar you just staying with the single 20 round clip and reloading it?

If I buy another gun I'll just be modifying it the same way as this one and then dual weilding them off of the same tank. Or, when I get around to making my own clips I can see if longer clips will even work.

Do you plan on having more clips or, ar you just staying with the single 20 round clip and reloading it?

I'm sticking with the one clip ontil I have the materials I need to make my own clips for this. Won't be very hard for me, provided I can get ahold of the PETG or polycarbonate tubing I need. I may have to use aluminum if I can't get ahold of either of those.

Captain Slug, you just pulled the idea right out of my head. And I thank you for beating me to it, because you did it even better! A 30 round clip would be ludicrous! If a 30 round clip is too heavy for the gun, you might have to add a casing to support the clip and have a spring assist it unless you turn the gun sideways... Even 20 rounds is really good. Who needs the CSHG now?

I finished the CAD model for the custom clip last night. The barrels will have to be made out of aluminum because it's the only affordable material I can locate that comes in the right dimensions. 8 Feet of 6063 tubing with a .527" ID and 5/8" OD is a meager $7.
I'll use it to explore different barrel lengths and higher clip capacities next week.
My regulator and tube-to-stem adapters also just arrived in the mail so I can finalize the gun.

The regulator arrived but my health has been so bad that I haven't been to the machine shop in order to get it set to the right output level. I also need to go there to get the back of the clip sanded down some more.

Well, I had a bit of an accident yesterday. I ran into a telephone pole while riding my electric bike to work in order to tweak the gun. The handlebar hit first and I landed hard of my left knee and foot. Nothing is broken (including the gun which was in my backpack), but I pulled all of the muscles in my left foot.
Anyway, once I got to the machine shop I got the clip sanded down and I discovered an unexpected issue with sawing the front of the gun off. The ABS plastic isn't rigid enough, so when the clip is inserted it prys the two halves of the front apart so that the green spring-loaded tooth thingy that interacts with the sides of the clip can't do its job. I need to either stiffen the sides of the body shell, or just make a small frame piece for the front of the gun to keep it from flexing.
I also got the regulator dialed in to the right pressure level so that should I fill the tank to a higher level the gun will still operate at a safe pressure.

Is that Bomberman?!

Yes. Bomberman is my avatar pretty much everywhere.

There. I added a small bolt-on adjustable piece to reinforce the front.

I finally got ahold of cxwq and ordered the PETG from him. It will allow me to make custom clips for this gun that will be easier to make and much more durable.

Nice, so what are the ranges?

I don't know. I never bother to measure them. It can leave little hicky marks when you gt shot by it though.

Is there any way you can record it firing? That would pretty much make my week.

I'll record a video of it tomorrow while it's being used at DCNO.

I get better results if I can get criticism so I try to structure my threads to invite feedback. That plus progressive changes to the end product results in longer threads.

My PETG has arrived and I'm about to order the flat-blade wood-boring drill bit I will need to make a custom 30-round clip for this gun. Save for only the barrels, the clip will be made out of polycarbonate sheeting. In order to avoid having to work with 1/16" sheets I'll probably have to mill the backplate piece a bit or sand down a part of the shell on the inside of the gun.

I've been kind of absent this past week because I pulled a number of muscles in my left foot and haven't been able to move around much.

20 shots going at that velocity.... ouch.

WHOOF. I would have a flippin' heart attack if I saw that thing pointed at me.

You rule. Any chance of a writeup, or are you unwilling? I'm rather inexperienced, having modded a Tech Target gun, two Scouts (and I think a messed one up badly), an NF, and a dodgy air restrictor removal on the LS.

If you were to post a writeup... Nerfers all over the nation would be calling down blessings on your merry, learned head.

Now that is some power, but you go through your ammo so quick, how is it when you burst fire it?

It's somewhere around 70 feet. About the same as the at3k I modified. I should be able to get improved ranges once I get the custom clip made so that I can have a more effective barrel length.

If you were to post a writeup... Nerfers all over the nation would be calling down blessings on your merry, learned head.

Joining the two clips together requires some very precise cutting and glueing. I had to use a wide variety of tools to accomplish it and I don't really want to try doing it again just to make a writeup (atleast not right now).
On the other hand, modifying the gun to accept a larger clip is a piece of cake, you simply need to hack off the lower front of the gun that acts as the floor for the clip. Just don't remove the green foregrip completely like I did.
Then you relocate the stock pump to the outside or replace it with a bike pump.

Now that is some power, but you go through your ammo so quick, how is it when you burst fire it?

I can squeeze off one or two darts at a time, which is primarily how this will be used if/when I attend a war. The brace I made for the front of the gun allows me to adjust the clamping tension on the clip so that it doesn't slide back down after I partially empty it.
The ROF is so high at 50-60psi that it's kind of difficult to fire just a single dart.

*Smacks upside the head*

Of course there is pumping required. He just relocated the pump.

I, of course, would use a bike pump, but I would do that for my Titan, my Hornet, an RF20 if I had one, et cetera.
