I was at Target today looking for the Longshot (which they also had, but no Magstrikes yet) when I saw that they had both the Big Bad Bow and Titan for sale. The boxes on both said Target exclusives, so I don't know if Toys R us lost the BBB as an exclusive or what.

The Big Bad Bow pictured on the box didn't have any stickers on it at all, and it came with 6 arrows instead of the usual 3. It was priced at $19.99

The Titan was individually packed without the rest of the N-Stirke system, and it was titled "Big Bad Titan", not "Titan AS-V.I" as it was with the N-Strike system. It came with one missile and was also priced at $19.99.

I'll try to go back tomorrow with my digital camera and get pictures of both boxes for you guys.

Yeah, I just saw that this was reported in another thread awhile back, but it was locked due to lack of proof. I hope my word is enough for you guys until tomorrow when I can get pics. sistermol was telling the truth in that thread, just as I am now.

That is a good find. I am suprised it isn't on Nerf's website or anything like that. It's like they re-re-released the BBB as a Target exclusive, and they re-release the Titan as just one seperate gun.

Big bad titan? Marketing must have ran out of ideas.
The BBB sounds nice, 5 bucks cheaper than TRU, and the titan is great news.

Well, when you make posts like these in your first time out, your credibility goes down very, very, very quickly. And here at the Haven, truth is something most of us take very seriously.

And I have a loooong memory. And a search function. And now an admin control panel.

Muahahahaha.

Even if you shoved the box in front of my face, that wouldn't affect my standings with that member. I will always look at his posts with some scrutiny, as I also trust many others wholeheartedly without any tangible proof.

Yessir, first impressions really do make a difference. At least with this admin.

ps. Good find, Orange. Too bad we don't have a Target store in Hawaii. Yet.

Hey, I may actually get a Titan now, after seeing this...

But I still can't get over the "Big Bad Titan" name... BBT... I mean, it really doesn't do anything for the gun, especially after hearing "Big Bad Bow". Plus, Big Bad Bow rolls off the tongue much better than Big Bad Titan.

Naming aside, unless they tinkered with the gun, I'll still get one.

If the picture wasn't both by a different person and extremely realistic, I'd consider this a ridiculous, sick joke. Honestly, Big Bad Titan? I can't believe that marketing would come up with something so incredibly stupid. I simply can't believe that, and hell, there's a picture to prove it. Someone must have been drunk, or they had the intern make some quick decisions...

Wow... That's really odd...

But like Piney said, some people are a lot more trustworthy than other people, especially in online forums. Online your grammar and spelling are your appearance and hygene. And not many people trust the word of that crazy hobo telling them about the end of the world.

And, just to re-reiterate what everyone's said: That's a ridiculous name for the Titan. At least Big Bad Bow rolls off the tounge and is an aliteration (I think that's what it is... it means they all start with the same letter). But Big Bad Titan? It's akward, unappealing, and unoriginal.

Well, I'm glad that the Titan is being sold seperatley, confused that the BBB is being sold at Target, and angry that everyone else is finding Longshots in stores. I hope we can find one soon.

Sincereley,
Pat

Sure Orange, no problem.

Master Yogurt, yeah, I agree, but I'm not complaining! Why spend $40 on a set when you only want the titan?

I figured that I should chime in, considering I was one of the people calling sistermol a liar. Now I see proof that it is indeed true, but when I called the store by him, the information didn't match up. To sum up what Piney had said, he had built himself a reputation of dishing out intelligence with no way to back it up. He gave himself that reputation. He may have been telling the truth, but I've seen some of his posts from the past as well, and I really can't believe him, especially without pictures to back it up. I'm glad we can put this to bed now. Now all I need is my settlement check and for a Target in my area to have them in stock. Thank you Orange for clearing the air.

As for why target can say that the BBB is an exclusive, Orange did say that it came with 6 arrows, not three like the TRU one does. Maybe TRU is exclusive to the 3 arrow configuration and Target is exclusive to the six. I've seen it before. When the Dart Tag System came out, Wal-Mart had an exclusive offer which came with the two 10-shot guns and the remodeled NFs for the Dart Tag System. This works out well also for Hasbro for when it comes to hardcore collectors that prefer their items to be NIB. They would have to buy both to complete their collection.

I'm wondering now if they are also going to market the Hornet seperately? The Titan (I agree with everyone that Big Bad Titan is pretty lame) still has the mounting point on the bottom for the Hornet, so I would assume that the other parts may be marketed as stand alone guns as well. Only time will tell.

I had the same thought. I mean, if you look on the "Big Bad Titan" :) It still has all the slots for the scout and the Hornet, along with the buttons and everything else. This may be good thing, as the hornet is a moderately good and useful gun, and the scount is, meh, more of a holdout weapon, and you won't have to pay the $40 price tag. But then again if they name it "Big Bad Scout" or "Big Bad Hornet"...

Well as long as we are on the topic of new guns on the shelves: Last night after coming home from NOSPAM I went to target in hopes of finding a Longshot they didnt have one but they did have a Magstrike so I got that instead.

No we turned home (about a mile before it according to Carrtoon) Because one of our members had to get home. I got it at a Super Target in Minnetonka on the way home. I am a little bummed out about not getting a longshot though :P

Also I like how on the title of this thread Titan is still being called Titian.

I couldn't bring myself to put "Big Bad Titan " in the thread title, it just sounds way too cheesy! :P

Edit: Guess I did misspell that in the title, whoops!
