I don't have the gun myself, but for those of you who don't browse NHQ this person who we all thought was bullshitting us just gave us cold hard evidence that the gun is in fact out. For now I will provide linkage to the thread. In awhile I'll have some pics here from the thread. Linkage

Holy shit.
So apparently the barrel DOES come in two pieces...didn't see that one coming.
But what's this talk of $50? I thought it was $30.
And 35-foot ranges straight, before the dart drops? not bad, but I fail to see the usefulness of a scope at those ranges.
Still, undoubtedly badass. Good find Hammer, I know I don't peruse NHQ's forums for fear of catching n00bitis.

EDIT: Oh, thanks for the info NerfMonkey. Unfortunately, that revelation lowers the potential maximum range of this gun...here's hoping it's not to complicated to mod.

That's pretty sleek-looking. It looks way too cumbersome for my liking, but since it is the Longest Nerf Blaster Ever, I guess that's to be expected.

EDIT: Vyperaeon, Hasbro doesn't measure their ranges flat. It's at a slight angle and some height off the ground. I forget exactly but it's definitely not flat.

And I believe this was found on the west coast as well. It got snipped out of the post by a mod. But it was at some overpriced toy store that charged 50 dollars for it. And they charged 35 dollars for a firefly. So you can see that they charge about 15-20 dollars more then it should be.

The guy over at HQ who claimed to have seen it was just out to prove us wrong on our BS calls. And thats plenty to say that he wasn't lying.

More gun porn and short review.

Notice anything different? yeap... the front pistol handle is removable... so you don't get that silly 2 gun grip look, but one badass huge gun.

The firing range is limited. I wont be modding this as it'll do fine taking potshots at the wife and coworkers at the office. The stock only has 2 settings (i thought it was fully adjustable, but i guess it's just 2 - one closed and one pulled all the way back). Bolt action is smooth. Fires with a "boinginginginging" sound. scope is a joke but looks cool.

Well, that was a surprise. Both being available soon is certainly an interesting thing, but the Magstrike should be better, though you don't beat the Longshot for pure overcompensation's sake. 35' is a nice range for a stock blaster- that thing should have some real potential. I wonder if the barrel is real, though I highly doubt it. Probably open-air like the Doubleshot barrels.

thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep that in mind. Also i wont be able to test ranges because i live in the city and there's NO DAMN PARKS... apartments out here are small too. I can only guess from firing at my window and the bounce back that it achieves somewhere between 20 feet - but that could be a stretch. not the 35 like it says on the box (unless i angle it up some) - and not the 65 like someone else on this board had mentioned.

If that helps abit on plunger size, there are the ranges. I doubt he's going to be opening it anytime soon, he's a pretty new member.

i thought this might be interesting though because i've seen nothing - not a single pixel or cent about this gun other than box pics.

there's a section to clear jams and i totally missed it in the manual. that's pretty nifty!

The plus side; it's stefan compatible. The downside; the plunger size. I don't know about you guys, but I can guess by the ranges and by the pictures (the bolt moves what, two and a half inches?) that this thing probably has the same internals as the Sawtooth... it's probably actually just an upgrade to the Sawtooth. I say we have restrictor removal and spring replacement, lending maybe 50 ft good range. It's not going to be too useful, and definitely not worthy of that bipod, but like all other worthless N-Strike guns, awesome looking. And that works for me.

And that includes the opposite of the lucky NHQ user with the Longshot; there are users that blab and tell all kinds of tales about what they have, when in reality they have jack squat.

I'd lean more towards the magstrike.
In my humble opinion, it looks waaaay better than this honker.

cool looking? Yes, but that might be it.
once a mastermodder picks it up and blasts it a nice distance, ill have my foot in my mouth.

until then, however, I'm not alone in my want of a magstrike.


oh, and if Piney gets his hands on one of these, and it is like a sawtooth, you should make it into the machine of foam devastation like your sawtooth-hybrid deathdealer

My original thoughts that this blaster wont be much modded are even more reinforced now. To get the most maximum range form this, a barrel will need to be glued directly onto the plunger rube, sadly sacraficing the better point of this blaster, the magazine. However, all is not lost. Since there is an opening on the top, a bolt action breach could be fabricated into the gun. I am also pretty sure from the pics shown and AT2ks or Sm1500s can be intagrated into this gun for extra shots.
