Alright, with Farmageddon drawing ever closer a thread with the details of the location, time, and place are needed.

What? Farmageddon

Where? Davenport, Iowa

When? July 23, 12-ish to whenever

Why? To have fun nerfing


As for what to bring and what not to bring, I'm gona have to quote cx.

Bring:

* Nerf guns!
* Lots of darts
* Water
* Sunscreen
* Eye protection
* Good attitude
* Friends

Don't Bring:

* Homemades
* Dangerous darts
* Incindiary devices
* Cheaters

I assume we all know the difference between homemades and nerf/other foam shooting guns?
But yes I decided not to allow homemades in an effort to keep this an annual Nerf war. Feel free to showcase you homemades at the war if you'd like, but not for actual use.

I don't think we really need a lunch break if we start at 12, so eat before the war. You may bring snacks or other food if you'd like. I'll try and bring a cooler of water/ gatorade for those who want.

I'll check the actual address of the location very soon , but it's a park inside of the city. Has playground, lots of trees, restrooms, and tables. I'll also be able to "reserve" the location so we don't have to worry about other people being there.

If anyone has any further questions, regarding hotels, or the like in the area feel free to pm/aim me. There's a Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, HobbytownUSA(carries brass), Toys R us, and other stores if you need to make last minute preperations for the war.

Start your post with CERTAIN or UNCERTAIN like in the apoc thread please, to get an accurate headcount.

I've got a question regarding protective glasses. Will my normal optical glasses do? I'm blind without them and nothing seems to fit well over them.

Also, let's coordinate carpooling. I'm not sure if we want to do this through PMs or what, but it'd be nice to get those details out of the way soon. The guys in Duluth can break from driving by my house and figure out the driving schedule. I'm betting those in Wisconsin will want more of a straight shot than stopping through SE Minnesota.

One last thing. Is anyone bringing a camera/camcorder? I can bring my camera, but it isn't meant to take video. It takes 640x480 at 30 fps so it might work. I just really want to get a movie for the rest of the site to see.

Sorry Carrtoon, I didn't get enough interest to make this one. I'll do better on the St. Paul war on the 29th, but Farmageddon looks like too long of a shot for us this year. If you guys make it an annual thing, next year might be better.

If you wish to carpool, your hope will be with the Wisconsin guys. I'm really sorry, but I would have only myself and maybe 1 other who is able to go.

Hopefully we'll see you in St. Paul though. Have fun!

Eh, Problem is I'm 17, and my parents aren't very fond of this whole thing. To be honest, my mom freaks out on a daily basis that I'm a member on some internet forums. However, next year, I should have ALOT more freedom, so if I'm around for one of the wars, I'm in.

In short, I should be in for next year.

Sorry, despite my age, my parents still do have hold over me, and they ARE helping me through college (and my life, for the most part), so I should try my best to follow their reasonable wishes.

Gosh. Now this totally sucks. Hey Renegade, is this thing still on? People are dropping out like flies. It still looks like I can go, but is anyone else? I don't want to drive 5 hours for nothing...

I was thinking the same thing. I am only 1 hour away,but it is the day before my birthday. I would like to attend but if there is only 4 people I don't know. Maybe move the date?

Attention re-scheduling to august. Aight, so now I need to work sundays, and haven';t had time to get everything ready for the war even, so any dates in August work with others? preferrably first or second week.
