Looks like it's gonna be me, sam, and Toj thus far. Haven't asked Jon yet. My crossbow is in working order, it's probably not possessed yet, but it shoots at least 80 with micro stefans and that's okay with me. So YANO kiddies...laser pointer, yay or nay? It's got a pressure switch next to the trigger, so it's not always on, reducing danger of getting flashed in the eyes with it. Do you think the people at the park would mind it? I'm really not sure if I want to use it or not. No one at the SDNO was accidentally blinded. Accidentally being the key word there, but Toj had sunglasses on for the record.

I thought only class 3 lasers could potentially harm the eyes, if exposed to the retina for a prolonged amount of time...correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that all typs of laser pointers can be potentially dangerous when the eye is exposed to it for too long. It just depends on the laser and how long you stare at it.

Yeah, well - you just have to ask yourself that question: How long will Steve keep his laser pointed at the little kids' eyes long enough to damage them?

2 weeks?

3 weeks?

I dunno man...could get ugly.

Ungh... I did a bit of research and was about to agree with Groove from a medical standpoint. Unfortunately I came across some rather disturbing information in the California Penal Code (403-420.1) that makes me more than a little concerned about the good old Irvine PD.

Basically, in California it's a criminal misdemeanor to sell a laser pointer to a minor, to point one at someone in a way that a reasonable person would fear bodily harm, or to take one onto a primary or middle school campus. These actions are punishable by anywhere from $50 and 4 hours of community service, up to 30 days in county jail.

so basically it just comes down to whether steve likes community service or not.

OK... YANO tomorrow morning, 9-5

Bring sunblock, glasses, water bottles, lots of darts, and lunch or lunch money.

I will have 12 liters of cold water to refill your bottles with.

Ray IM'd me to let me know that he's most likely not going to make it due to a freak accident involving something called 'basketball' or whatever it was... he claims it's a real sport but I've never heard of it. He should be ashamed to have let it get in the way of his promising Nerf career.

This should be a fun smallish war. I'm currently guessing around 12 people unless Ray's ankle heals overnight.

Questions?

Hmmm, I could have sworn that I posted this, I guess it didn't post for some reason. Anyways, we won't be able to make it. I'm at beach house, so my mom can't drive, and Toj's fam is celebrating his mom's birthday. Well sorry for the late notice, I could have sworn that I clicked the Add Reply button...
