One night, I had a stock NF, and a recon lying around. In the morning, I found this
NF gets 50s. Recon gets normal sucky recon ranges.

FA_24's response to Ice's back pain thread:
I used to have that problem until I got circumcised. 15 pounds later I was able to stand up straight.

My first paintjob - went with a simple red / white / black theme.
My first Longshot mod, too - removed AR and safeties so it can be uncocked, magazine catch worked with the bolt forward, etc. Integrated the Recon's ladder sight. Removed the cocking handle and moved the cocking mechanism inside the body, cycled by the front gun handle. Writeup here.
Also my second Longshot mod - tried to brass the breech, massive fail.
Range: 0'. Anyone have a spare LS bolt they want to sell? >_<
===
'Y' clip. I wanted a side-by-side clip; reloading with a down-over-up motion seems faster than down, flip and try-to-jam-the-clip-back-in-with-my-arm-awkwardly-twisted.
Really simple 'mod' really - I was looking for a spacer block that would allow for the magazine well wall thickness for both the Longshot and the Recon. Turns on another clip fits the bill perfectly. After a bit of experimentation, I decided that a 'forward roll' rotation (end-over-end along the Z axis) was better than a 'barrel roll' rotation (around the Y axis), hence 1/3 the darts face backwards.

I learned:
• Machining plastic in-doors can wreck a whole room
• Painting in 40 degrees makes sweet salt-flat patterns
• Reflective coating is NOT the same as clear coating
• An Ace spring can shatter a barrel assembly if it is not glued right
• A spring addition with no catcher enhancement is a three shot wonder at best
• The wiring on the laser site is the most fragile part of the gun.
• Any mod with a paint job, 15 minutes at a time, is like 30 YEARS!!!
• You can EASILY spend $100 at the hardware store buying specialist tools and parts if you are just getting into the hobby
-Guns shoot bullets that kill people
-Blasters shoot darts that tag people
I do not play with guns.

Funny pipe inside of 3/4 inch PVC and couplered. I also added eight dart holders on the side so it's like a shotgun of some sort.
[20:44] Aimless: Does it make you invulnerable?
[20:45] Venom213: nothing can kill me if I have PROTECTION!!!!
[16:39] Hawkshot: Sloppy joes taste awesome.
[16:39] Mr_BadWrench: Whos Joe?

It has an Angel Breach with a longer stroke to accommodate stock darts and eliminate the need for a clip mod.
The 19/32" brass runs all the way through the bolt.
The finished product (at least for now).

Pm me with any questions, don't expect a write-up. I did this without taking any pics on the way, I had no clue it was gonna work until about 20 minutes ago.
IMPORTANT EDIT: DO NOT attempt this modification if you don't have SF internals that look something along the lines of this:
