When did this become the damn WoW forums? I've seen more "reserved for picture" posts than actual pictures in the last week.

When I come across these I delete them immediately, but it's a lot to wade through. People, when you have something to show, show it. There is no benefit to having an earlier spot in the thread. It's already 78 pages long for christ's sake. Don't do it.

Damn, I saw you were the last poster and I figured there was gonna be a sick paintjob...

I thought the same thing.

Alright, I'm gonna make this really fucking simple. When I read this thread I want to see images of modified or painted nerf weaponry. When I, instead, see large blocks of text without images, I get upset. Every time I come into this thread and see more than a post or two between images I start deleting posts. Every time I delete your post my opinion of you drops dramatically. When I think little enough of you, you will be muted or banned without warning.

The next post had better have a new picture of a nerf weapon.

Very nice BBB! Makes me wish I didn't rip mine apart for the spring...

How's the seal? It looks pretty good, but if it isn't you could try using an o-ring.

Also, unless you're getting satisfactory ranges, it might help to lengthen the barrels. I don't know what is the 'right' length for BBB barrels, but I think 5" at the least.

And just so this post isnt completely useless (because every post should contain a mod/PJ pic), heres my quadded NF. Dunno the ranges, but it should get atleast 50'. It has a first edition NF spring in it.

Both of you should move the turrets closer to the actual plunger, all that dead space really can bring the ranges down below their optimum's.

Also: My New NF with old spring.

Yeah, but to do that and make the turret straight would be a major pain in the ass. The turret in flat, and the front of the NF is flat. So it makes it perfectly straight, while sacrificing maybe 5'. I personally think it's worth it, because there would be more room for error if you tried to get it closer to the plunger. Plus, I don't really want or need anything more than 50' from a sidearm. That's what primaries are for. Ofcourse, if I'm playing in a pistol round that would be different, in which case I'd use something else (like a quadded SS2).

Anyways, heres some internal and external pics of Finnese (link in my sig), my LS-DTG, I don't believe I put the pics in here before, so just in case.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I don't have any recent external pics, but it'll have to do for now (I'll update it after I take some pics).

Quite honestly, two nights (except screwing it back together). I sat down on a friday night and commenced a 5-hour modification session. I'm pretty sure I got some serious brain damage (burning plastic+plumbers-goop= bad smell+ oxygen deprivation). It's not really that hard (now that I know exactly how to do it; easy for me to say). I'm thinking about making a write-up, but I'm going to think it over (if anyone would like one though, PM me so I can get a general idea).

And so that this post isn't useless, here...

Posted Image

Just a pic of the barrels of a modded At3k (currently in the possesion of one of my non-forum friends).

Edit: Twitch my god it auto-rotates too. I'm going to have to do that when I get another BBB...

a bit of my nerf area in the basement.
Posted Image

1- My first mod, a CPVC'd NF. Spring replaced with a handyman spring, some epoxy on the inside for minor reinforcement, rubber splicing tape around the plunger head. Also integrated a SSPB-type Lanard thing i picked up for a few bucks on an aisle end at Kroger. The SSPB is also CPVC'd. I sanded out the inside of the main barrel to replicate PN's NF barrel.

2- The shell from the lanard SSPB thing. From what I can see of people similar NF's I had to dremel away more of the shell to fit this kind in. I had been using the circular base of the NF's barrel post as a firing button instead of just the purple shaft there, but it came un-epoxy'd. :)

3- An SSPB-type thing I picked up at Sonic years ago- it had bizarre triangular screws, so that shell got pretty mutilated, but I do have an intact one if anyone wants to see. Seems to get better range than the stock SSPB's I have.

4- Gutted Lanard push-pull water gun. Must be useful for something.. thoughts?

edit- before someone asks, ranges unknown.

These are a couple recent mods I've just done.

I would do some close ups but imageshack seems to always suck for me.

Anyways, there's a PETG old NF. A Crayola'd SMDTG.

And best of all, a removeable nested brass BBB. This has the most accuracy and range on any BBB I've had. I have two, this, and a Big Bad Sexy.

Ok, I have some big plans for this thread, and while you're waiting, I'll give you some appetizers.

First off, my NF with 17/32 barrel, built in laser and handyman spring. The spray paint is chipping, but I plan to redo it.

Posted Image

Here's the barrel.

Posted Image

Here's my DT3. CPVC barrel on pistol, and CPVC coupler nested inside PVC coupler. I stretched the strings on both of them.

Connected

Posted Image

Separated

Posted Image

Next, my Big Blast. PVC coupler and PETG nested in PVC barrel. Pump Plugged. Rated M for Mature.

Posted Image

Here's the last thing you see before you go into a coma

Posted Image

Here's one of my favorite guns; The Lighting Blitz, A.K.A., The Widow Maker.

Posted Image

Here's a rather blurry close up of the PETG barrels that make doctors everywhere rich.

Posted Image

Last and probably least, my CPVC couplered NF. I forgot to replace the spring, then like an idiot, hot-glued it up.

Posted Image

The barrels, a little crooked, but it doesn't matter because the coupler is strait.

Posted Image

Well, thats all!

For now....

Wow, nerfiswpange23, or however you spell you username, that is one sick paintjob, and integration. To make something of this post, here is my titan.
Posted Image
It was one that was made IN 2004, so the paint is faded. I have done simple mods to it, I have removed the front AR, and plugged the pump, and PVC and PVC coupler barrel replacement. The barrel will simply not[size=2] come off for some reason, so, I cannot remove the final AR. But it gets about 110 flat, and 120 angled. I don't have that long of a tape measure, so that is estimated by steps. (my foot with shoe is about 11 inches long) Here is another angle. I removed the ball bearings (tilt limiter), and made sweet stefans out of them!
Posted Image
I am eventually going to paint it. And sorry about the pic size if you have a crappy computer.

All these modifications are amazing, but the paintjobs are what blow me away! The LS and Mav custom paintjobs I've seen leave my jaw dropped... Wish I could've replied to some older posts, where expertly painted LS's were showcased, but I just got validated, and I don't want to violate the Code of Conduct right off the bat (or at all, for that matter!). I'll soon (within the next few weeks) be posting pics of my custom-painted Longshot, made to resemble the SRS99D Sn1p3r Rifle from the Halo games. Can't wait to see what people think of it, good or bad!

PINEY EDIT: Sounds like you're sincere. Put a picture in this slot later and we'll spare you.

I completed my Disk shot today, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but it very well may be my SSII's successor. No, I didn't retire my SSII. It was thrown out back in November, and I've been trying to find another side arm since.

Posted Image

I'll do a write-up for it if I get another Disk Shot.

EDIT: Wow. Bad picture. I'll get another picture up by the end of tonight.

What are it's ranges, and what type of barrel material did you use? It looks very nice. And that wasn't that bad of a picture. Good mod.
EDIT: Sorry I don't have a picture. :(

My maxshot that I completed today. Pretty simple mod: I just replaced the barrel with some of OMC's PETG, and it works like a charm. Around 80' with a stefan, shooting against the wind. Accurate, too. Sorry about the crappy picture quality.

EDIT:
I was originally going to post this next modification in a separate post, but I thought I would take the smart path and just edit my existing post.
Posted Image

Brassed EaB. I used cxwq's idea with the barrel seal, but I didn't have any extra mousepads on hand so I e-taped the hell out of the bottom of the barrel and stuffed the barrel with a dollar store handcloth for stability. It shoots around 65' without the bands (I put the rubberbands on after testing, and I didn't test the range with them).
I am planning on integrating an Over Under onto this, and doing a writeup with it, so keep your eyes peeled.

There are some minor pressure adjustments made with the "air bladder", so now it shoots faster. and yes, that is a solid gold clip, made in memory of the solid gold cartridge! I hope you all enjoy the paint job!
