I test ranged my BBB over 5 times and they all were in the 90s.

Thanks. this is my first war made nerf gun. All or most of my other mods have been to look cool and or replecate the feel of real guns. My LS has a flashlight and ghetto sights, ect. But I really wanted to get a nice war made gun. Making use of couplers and shotgun style ammo holsters, I made that. i need to come up with a good name because Tactical BBB doesn't quite do it.

Oh and touch ups are tomorow. I just finished the stock holder (which is a sch40 PVC cap) tonight and I was a bit to headstrong to wait till the finished product.

Tell you the truth, I based part of this mod on your Big Bad Sexy, but i cut the CPVC after one inch then glued a coupler on. So thanks mostly to you for the new take on it.

Yeah, PETG on the Splitfire, 6", It gets standard ranges for a Splitfire.

Yes, I saw yours. And it's quite fuckin' awesome if you ask me. Love the paintjob. Just a question though, how long was your barrel? (And I like the M203 grenade launcher coupler thing.)

My barrels are about 10 inches. Way to short for a BBB normaly but the way I see it is why maximize range when your chances of hitting someone from 100 feet away is slim to none. I still get a respectable 70-80 feet out of it CONSISTANTLY! And also it wasn't meant to be a long range-er (spelled incorrectly on purpose). I wanted a good power, range and ROF gun and I got it. Thanks again for all the comments on my first good paintjob

Flat, and most shots are in the low 70's. I only say 70-80 feet because you always have those stray shots that overshoot your benchmark (or undershoot depending on how you modded it or what your calling you benchmark) and not really what I would call my first paintjob but easily one of my best. Currently I have no camera because my parents took it but expect pictures of "Santa's little helper, spreading the Christmas cheer" themed Longshot soon.

Progress edit. I finished painting both shells today so all thats left is the titan integration and touch ups with the stock.

Hm...How come I Removed the ars, put a coupler on it, and shoots...I haven't measured yet, but less than my whole downstairs.

Try a 9" barrel. Thats what I use and I get really good ranges.

Me too. Nine seems to be the magic size for BBBs

I think all of you people are on crack. My BBB got* OVER 100'** with an 8" barrel. Flat. But then again... my darts are a little funky like that.***


* Got. Not gets. The spring is now in the Hell Cannon. (which is newly painted and has an Angel Breach. Soon to be posted.) *cough*

** Not consistently, more like 50% of the time.

*** Loose on the front, tight on the back. No weights.

New to modding really- so I don't have much- but much more to come!

Really simple mod for the Maverick- the barrel goes out way further- thats it...

My first modified gun and its a Nitefinder! Pretty simple- I took off the laser and the ammo holder (Obvious) Also the extra ammo is in the handle and I took out the peg the dart goes on (Thanks to Cornman) And now it fires stefans and those crap black darts with orange tips super far.

This one isn't Nerf- Its a mix between a modified and a homemade... I was digging through the toy box I found one of those bright orange guns that shoots those plastic darts about 5 feet... slapped a crayola barrel on and then BOOM! It shot nerf darts about 15 feet! Then I painted it metallic and called it "Metal Beast"!!!

Ok... sorry- I'm a noob... I looked in the help files and didn't find it and then I didn't consider it being anywhere else- Let me go try the step by step link you gave me-- Thanks by the way

I like "The Metal Beast". And did you only remove the peg on the NF? Because you could've also Dremeled out the bottom of the peg and the other circular ar.

I am only saying mine can shoot 70-80 because its been to cold to safely test ranges and I don't want to hangled with about my ranges. In srping I will do some tests but until then, I'm sticking with 70-80 feet.
