This nite finder was designed for a game my friends and I play. We call the game zombies and it is quite different from HvZ. This nite finder represents the game in its self. The paintjob has a rough, used look to it to represent a "zombie" type blaster.

My first attempt at a paintjob. Purely cosmetic with no performance mods, but fully functional. It was for a Halloween costume last year.
You can't really pick up on it in the photo, but I found a really good pearl effect paint at Micheal's crafts store that has that milky translucent mother of pearl kind of look for the back half of the handle rather than just painting it white. The faux wood on the handle was done with a standard wood-tone brown with black dry brushing to pick up the molded wood grain, but then I went over it with a clear red paint which gave it a deeper varnished cherry wood look.

Or hell, Spiderbite has sweet deals on this stuff now, so there's really no reason not to Rainbow.

Rapidstrike Pistol. No exposed batteries. Yeah I could have made it smaller but this was the look I was going for. Reduced fore end. Removed the stock and added 8 AA batteries in the stock void. Balance is pretty good.

Thanks to randyfivesix's instructables guide that allowed me to complete the front part.

Extra maverick shell + 1/2" pvc + pliers + electrical tape = super easy blowgun. Thinking about taking this a step further and adding a breaching system/hopper clip that would link to the (now useless) trigger...

Gut the electronics, drill a hole in the shell, and attach a crank to the gear. Bam, crank-action stampede that doesn't require batteries, or even a trigger.

...(also judging by your past posts, I would consider you pretty dang wise elder like in the modding community  )

This is some Scout I got off flea-ghey

I cleaned it up, lightly sanded and gave it a PJ inspired by a thousand other cools one I say. Paint was testor's model paint and some acrylic I got at china-mart. no mods other than sanded parts smooth, re-lube (huh, huh, lube), and Teflon tape under o ring.

Changed out the bi pod with an air soft one, as well as the carrying handle to make it look more realistic. For the barrel I hollowed out half of a recon barrel then used a different pvc pipe configuration where the PVC can actually be unscrewed and changed. In the pictures you can see the two different barrels I made and they are easily interchangeable. Below is what the barrel interface looks like. This is also before final paint job and weathering.

Been waiting all day to post this guy!

-Flat black vinyl dye base coat
-Rustoleum "metallic silver" dusting. The handle color actually fades into the rest of the shell, the only things I masked off were the
-Rustoleum American Accents "aqua" stripes
-I left the internals, trigger, slingmounts, sight and front of barrel stock orange.

Posted Image

I also added some custom heat-transfer lettering to the top.

We haven't done that much modding we are just starting on it. This is a Buzz Bee Berserker. We added marker barrels to bring the size down to nerf dart size. Also cut off the tip of the rocket launcher. You see the scatter gun attachment on it. Also I can still fire rockets and have a loser attachment for it. With the loser attachment I can get over 200ft at an angle. Fishtailing seems to be my main limit on distance.

We call it ULTRA RAINBOW. Taste the rainbow (stole this part from someone else that did this)

This is my other mod. It is a very simple Tech Target, the kind that shot the mega darts. It was a simple add of cpvc pipes to reduce the barrel size. I love it because shoots so far. I even love the looks of it although I will probably paint it soon.

With my big beast Ultra Rainbow and this small but powerful blaster I am all set.

I was able to acquire an xploders invader x3 Friday, and I was farting around with it stock. Then I realized, It F***ing sucks. so I opened it up, gutted all the internals, except for the plunger assembley, and slapped on a coupler after I modified the plunger a little bit ( cut a little piece off it and wrapped that segment in electrical tape).I still need to epoxy it on to the plunger, but other than that it's done. I know it is a little deadspacey, and I probably don't need the coupler also, but I already cut a hole on top and on the accessory blue thing where it currently is so I probably won't change that unless they still have them at Walmart for $5 (was originally $10)

So here are the internals after I modded it:
Posted Image

And what it looks like when it is closed up and with the barrel on it:

Posted Image
P.S. I know the barrel isn't straight up and down, I gotta figure that out.

Mods I have done to it are:

Nerf Conversion
Spring Compressor (part of a 3/4 to 1/2 inch coupler that I have no idea how the half inch was missing, and then reamed it out so it slips over the stock plunger rod with a little bit of grip. not much)
And that's about it.

Mods I am planning on doing in the future:
Seal improvement(Because this seal isn't very good) by either adding an o ring in between the stock seal on both sides to raise it's lip to seal better. or if that doesn't work, replace it with a skirt seal.

Crossfire bow with a nylon handle added to the priming rod. Anything with metal was slowing down the plunger (stock spring), the handle in the picture is four nylon spacers and two nylon machine bolts sourced from Ace hardware.

Modded Stampede and Rough cut mass effect style for my cousins birthday. He needed blasters for his collage HVZ. The stampede has a OMW 6kg stampede spring and a segment of 17/32 brass in the breech. It also has all of the basic stuff done. The back has been chopped off and it runs off of 12 AA batteries(couldn't get trustfires before his game). The roughcut doesn't have any mods besides the paintjob.
It features Duplicolor Metalcast Red.
Posted Image
The red is hard to see without light shining on it, so it adds a cool effect.

A happy customer!

Alright I recently finished this one. It was my brother's Longstrike that had been languishing in the basement in a garbage bag for a year. I finally just asked him if I could have it and here is what I did with it. Luckily all the parts were there. :D

It is painted fully in acrylics (yes, acrylics). It has all standard mods, nothing fancy but I hope to add an upgrade spring soon. I really haven't done any range tests yet but I doubt I'll see anything spectacular.
