Speaking of which I've had my eyes on these puppies http://www.bestbuy.c...d=1099397015312I have hade a sudden interest in buying some two radios. Im not looking for something that is a piece of crap toy, I want a good quality radio for a decent price. If anybody has any two way radios, what brand/model are they and how well do they preform? I would want one that I could talk at lease 3 miles away with, if further then its always a plus. So does anybody have any good reccomendations for some good two way radios? Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if these are worth the buy and at least somewhat live up to there 12 mile claim, im guessing thats for gmrs, but still. Is it at least a solid 5 mile range?

The current replacement for the Rhino is the GPS 60, which does basically the same features.
These radios are very good if you are a serious hiker because they give you GPS location, Rendezvous point time, individual distance from the Rendezvous point and much more.
If you still aren't satisfied then you could go with the GPSMAP 60, much more fnctional, much less practical.
And as they say about price, "If ya gotta ask..."
Someone help me out here.
