I didn't read this whole thread, but I'll give you my story. First off, long hair sucks. I had long hair for quite a while and once I cut it, it was a breath of fresh air. People seem to treat you better and it's not so damn annoying. Is it fair? Hell yes! Stereotypes are fair. You know why? They're normally true. That's why they exsist. Have you ever seen a multi-million dollar well to do business man with long hair? That's because alot of long haired guys are slackers or blue collar workers. I realized this when I got turned down for a couple of jobs. First thing I did was whack the locks, and it wasn't like Sampson at all. I was just as strong as I was before, only I had more money and about 10 extra minutes in the morning. I cut it for Stanley Steamer no less, which is by far the shittiest job I've ever had, and I've worked some real shitty jobs.

Long story short (and I apologize to the pussies for using the harsh terms) stop being a pussy, be a man and cut the locks. You'll feel better.

In fact you may even say I look like a deliquent... however, I am an assistant manager at Circuit City... have been for a couple years now. I deal directly with customers in a retail atmosphere... no one seems to mind. In fact, most people ask for my card to come back to me or tell their friends about me. It's bullshit that so many people seem to feel that you will be looked down upon by the masses simply because your hair is long.

My job simply requests that I have my hair tied back while I am working.

I was just like you, Spaztic (not as long), I cut my hair and I got along with a lot more people better, not to mention, people, adults mostly, took to me more because they could actually see my face. So like most people said, I think you should cut your hair. Pros of cutting - Job, more well liked, face visible, more chicks, less of looking like a stoner. Cons - your sense of self-fufilment will be gone, and your friend will think they 'won', but who gives a shit what they think, you sould like the kind of person who doesn't and just because they may mock you about them winning for a week or 2, doesn't mean that you won't come out better in the long run. Just 2 cents from a 14 year old nerfer that noone listens to all that much.
