Great war. Good people. Discuss.

I just want to thank everyone for coming, I know some of you drove serious distances to attend. I thought we all had a lot of fun and it was great to see some new faces and some old faces in an atmosphere that allowed all of us to really enjoy ourselves. Phil, thanks for bringing all of your LGLF members this time around, they were great and I think everyone would agree that they played their hearts out this afternoon. You didn't do too bad yourself Phil!

A few things I just want to mention before I forget... Hersh, that first round dodge I had was one of my best, I didn't know my back could bend like that! Shinny, I'm sorry for that cheap/luck shoulder shot towards the end of the day. Ace and Joker, great kills with those automatics. We don't use many around here (none at all really) but I got capped a few times by the two of you. Excellent job, you guys have lots of potential. And as for everyone else... thanks for all the welts. My upper body is covered with close to a dozen red shiny ones.

Also I'm hoping everyone takes pride in their exhaustion. We Nerfed longer than we ever have I think. We started at 10:30am or so and didn't really stop until 7:00pm! Great effort with lots of class all around. Hope to see everyone soon, whether we're Nerfing or not.

Thanks again guys,
Matt

Yesterday had to be the best war I've been to since the first Apoc (which was almost 3 years ago). It was a long day, and pretty much everybody gave it everything they had. My legs confirmed that when I had to literally lift them out of bed this morning. The weather could not have been better, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Needless to say, I was absolutely ecstatic all day long.

I think I speak for all in attendance when I say that we need to put together a solid summer nerf schedule. I definitely want to get in at least two wars before Apoc. I'm sure we can talk about when/who should host shortly. If some of the DC guys peruse this by chance, if you make a non-conflicting schedule with ours, you can pen me down for at least one war.

I'd also like to point out that I would much rather that our wars continue to follow the ending format that was used yesterday. People are free to come and leave as they wish, but those that want to keep nerfing shouldn't feel that they need to pack it in as well. As tired as I was the last two hours, a part of me was certainly yearning for more. It didn't matter that I was too tired to dodge or that the sweat was literally pouring down my face, I was just happy to be nerfing, and I wasn't going down without a fight.

So we're advocating following no schedule, showing up hours late, and leaving early? Inspiring.

In all fairness you did show up at noon.....I'm just saying.

Actually, my only problem with end of the day thing is that it just seemed like bad form. Don't know why, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Nothing worth getting the feathers ruffled over. I think it was mainly because I've never even met the new Middletown guys, we had established that the round they showed up during was to be the last, and I had plans with Vacc (and no shinny, they weren't just "to drink").

However, other then that I had a pretty good time. One of the better Mill Creek wars, seeing as we finally utilized some of the parks features rather then just running around shooting each other. Change is fun.

Play loose and play if you want to. Only goal is to have fun.

And Talio, yes I understand what you mean about the last few rounds. I think once we all become more familiar with the new LGLF people then we'll have an easier time formulating teams. Hopefully next time they'll show up soon.

And Fred might come!

I told you that we'd be showing up at noon; we never intended to or led ANYONE to believe that we would show up any earlier. You're telling me the two situations are analagous?

Regardless, it was fun. I haven't nerfed in a bit and it was a good warm-up. I hope we get some more wars going this summer. Dunno how much mill creek I can take, but I'm sure there will be some middle ground.

Oh no, not in the slightest. In fact, I was surprised to see you at all.

I'm pretty much going to drop the situation, but everyone knows I feel about this kind of shit. If the LCM showed up at the last round for Gnomefest, I'd be pissed. Fact is, I drive a long distance for people not to give a shit about showing up and playing. It's bad form.

And that's why I'm always punctual, because I know people like Talio and Hersh are driving plenty farther to enjoy themselves. :D

Anyway, that's enough of that. Let's move on and start planning the next big east coast war. Chris and I are down to host a deal war sometime in late June. In fact, we're excited about the prospect. I'm going to start a topic along that line in a moment.

Aight I thought it was about time to shed some of my love and position on this war. The war was in a complete sence fullfilling. Plenty of running, shooting, dodging, welts, and the occational busted ankle (which is feeling much better). I have to say Vacc is still the giant he always has been and Famine... well he is still a sarcastic ass. Talio did well that day, as did Hersh. Although I think that i saw the dark side of Hersh as he repealty cursed myself or Evil off and threw his gun as he became a larger target and rapidly hit. (no offence) Ace and Joker... guys I mean damn those autos where my bain. Evil I have nothing to say to you since... well you live near me.

Now as for the LGLF... Phil I do have to say it was quite a shock seeing how you have matured. I use to just be like "oh it's Phil" but now it's more like "oh its PHIL ". Good of you to bring the rest of your crew although some may have been female they preformed well. You need to work on those at2k's with something a lil quicker than those breaches (although they are well designed).

Well that is it for me.

of course, man

That aside, this was the best war I have been to in a long ass time. We finally nerfed a full day, or at least I did, and it's a cool feature to filter out players who wanna pack it in early. I'm sure Paul and I feel pretty much excatly the same and Seth pretty much said everything I wanted to, so all I can say is I can't wait till the next war.
