After reading the FAR homemade writeup and seeing the trobles with the bolts getting pushed up into the gun
I was wondering if you had a "upside down gun" as in the magazine would be going down into the gun would that solve any poblems? make new ones? plz answer

Again, sorry to backseat mod a bit, but please fix your spelling and grammar.

The concept you are describing is a gravity clip. It works fine as long as you have a weight at the top to prevent the darts from moving around and to push it into the chamber. It may flip around if you turn the gravity clip upside-down.
Boltsniper made this for one of his guns aswell:

You should be able to find transparent laser printer film at most office supply stores. You'll have a problem using it as the face, though, as printers can't print white...that would be a clear area, so it would show your paint job.

new member here and i thought i would post a pic of my rocket launcher. it is loaded by means of a bolt action and it shoots the 2" nerf vortex rockets , i use constant air with a 2 regulator system . it also has a preset safety popoff valve set at 120 psi normal operating pressure during a game is 50 psi. when this was taken i was using an electronic sprinkler valve but have now moded it to use a blowgun (alot more effecient). with this setup i can fire a shot every 3 seconds, wich is prety good i think.i can accurately hit targets out to 150yrds but it's range is about 350 yrds or more if i kick up the pressure.

Fuck, it's huge. How heavy are these projectiles, you're getting almost 4 times the max distance of a standard stefan.

That's awesome. Any chance of some video footage of the beast in action?

That also explains how you are firing the thing rocket so far.

This is my first homeade without its barrel

Its the smple sprinkler valve, with a bike pump. I plan to get a battery powered compressor but can"t decide on the brand
Its not my idea but I changed the brace for the bike pump by adding a vertical and horizontal brace. I also made a missle shooting barrel and a arrow shotting one as well
So what do you think?

Make sure the top of your gun is parallel to the ground when firing.
Finish those other mods so I have something else to read on here.
Now have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up. :)

Hi all. I’ve been lurking on the Haven for about a year and I thought it was time to contribute my homemade.

This is my fourth working homemade:

Posted Image

Total Length: 40.5 in.
Plunger travel: 3 in.
Barrel length: 9 in.
Range: 65 to 75 ft.

I’m not sure if it’s a new concept, but the magazine
moves with the bolt while the barrel remains in a fixed position, allowing me to
get the dart as close to the plunger tube as possible

I'm very pleased with this gun, but the ranges fell a little short of my expectations.
Ah well, improvements to add to the next project.

Happy Christmas!

Hey TriggerHappyAzn nice gun it truely is a simple is better gun, with its few parts and rather simple design. All I have to say is awesome. But I have a suggestion perhaps you should put some like foam on the front of the plunger head cause the sound on the video of it hitting the back of the other pert can't be good for it. PVC has only a certain amount of impact tolerances before it breaks so it might be a good idea for some padding in there. Other than that great gun I look for more great work from you in the future.

I'm violating some of the rules of this thread by merely posting comments, but I have to say this.

I remember when TriggerHappyAzn made this weird looking pathetic attempt at a submachine gun out of some sprinkler valves over two years ago. It even had a folding "stock". He made it work, and even had a crazy video with it in action.

This is definitely a HUGE step up. I'm still speechless. You guys know how I feel about pseudo-military "real" looking "guns". But that thing is nice. And the Sten-type side mag... definitely different. In a cool way.

Wowsers.

Comments: the plunger system is out of a disk shot gun that I failed horribly to mod and added a nice spring with an extra o-ring.

TriggerHappy, what's your mag made out of?

This has been my weekend project. I started a couple weeks ago but most of the work was done in the past few days.

Whole:
Posted Image

The black part is the front handle/cocking lever. It's a b* to cock. The clear acrylic is a mag well for Elf, but darts can be loaded one-by-one in there too, which I like.

Top-Down:

Firing a shot.

Enough pictures?

I used to have an exploded picture but accidentally deleted it. If the gun ever gets taken apart again, I'll shoot another one.

There weren't any plans, so naturally I screwed up a couple times. And there were quite a few kinks to work out. For starters, the 1" thin wall body wasn't strong enough to withstand being drawn, so that's why there's a 1u1/4" shell over the middle. Then the plunger would come out to the sides when drawn, so I attached a 1/2" CPVC stability rod to the back of it.

Obviously still some aesthetic work to be done (stock included) but it's functional. No ranges yet but it hits across my room HARD so I'm guesstimating 80-100 feet, I don't want to get flamed for saying more though. : o)
