And now I present to you, for your enjoyment, two stupidly simple but totally unique homemades-

Yes, those are nightfinder springs. Hey, they're cheap and surprisingly effective, so why not? Ranges are in the 60s-70s with a 12" barrel, but I haven't tested it with the 18" barrel yet.

I don't know why I chose to do it this way, but I had a 2" endcap and a 1.5" coupler and reducer so I bolted it together and it works

1/2" Pipefoam and hot glue do the trick nicely.

I had not built a SNAP yet, so I gave it a whirl. This is a Mk5 SNAPbow, with some differences. Shoots a tad under 100 feet with a 5-dart hopper, which is everything I hoped for. It worked great at the last war, despite the inevitable breakage (on-site repairs are fun). The whole blaster has a very solid feel, and it is easily disassembled and maintained.

My adapted SNAP. Features 1.5" PVC plunger tube, new (To my knowledge) handle mount, and easy field stripping thanks to the way the stock is screwed onto the endcap. The gun field strips with 2 screws- there's only 4 total (not counting the stock).
Posted Image
The handle slots onto ridges cut into the PVC (This is one of the reasons it uses 1.5" PVC; 1.25" PVC is just too small. The slots are measured out to accept a LSFG handle, but mine broke (Damn you China!) and the PVC one serves me well.

Posted Image
8 round RSCB attachment with tacticool flashlight E-taped on. Stupid Windows photo gallery made the stock look crooked; it's not.
Ranges are ROUGHLY measured at 100'+

My SNAPbow with ammo holders and foregrip. It also has a universal coupler made out of a 1/2" pvc coupler hampered into a 1" to 3/4" pvc adapter with half of a 1/2" cpvc coupler hamered into the back of the 1/2" pvc coupler.

Classy Hamp:

Just because it's megabucks. High flow check valve in the plunger head, (particularly good quality and expensive) O-rings for the plunger head (no yarn/duct tape up in this bitch), stainless steel set screws for assembly. A ring at the end of the plunger tube keeps the plunger from coming out, ABS tube, the hole for the elbow and adapter is tapped. Costs about $33 in materials.

The fourth one is a RTP variant that's still in progress, but hopefully it'll be done for the weekend.

^ That's a damn sexy tornadobow. I wonder who made it.

I've been working on this since Ryan posted his pumpbow because I knew it would just diddle us all, and at MANO it did.

I call it the +snapcrosspumpbow. It has all the homemade names in one so it has to be cool.

It is a bullpup pump action hoppered snap. The trigger design is borrowed from carbons snap duo.

That thing just destroyed the universe. I have no response as to how we might be able to top that. Other than making the entire thing out of Aluminum.

Posted Image

My HAMP, it's a 3 inch PVC plunger tube, need to redo the seal, there is not nearly enough yarn, and the E-tape on the back broke, so now it leaks everywhere, and is still shooting ~60 ft.
Don't have any hoppers, so I'm using an RSCB and Dart door for now. Schedule 80 barrel, inbetween thin and thickwall PETG for the ID. It looks crooked, but isn't. Also, yes, that is a spring loaded check valve on the top.

Painted my 1st snap, I'm moderately happy with the results. It's not 100% done yet, I still want to add some E-tape on the foregrip and stock.

Hot looking SNAP Fome.

I built my first SNAP and now my roommate is following suit:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Reminds me of an M3 grease gun but whatever. It works. We all play in my offcampus house so suction darts are cheap/reliable.

Also, the double eagle of the Imperium of Mankind was printed out from a picture online, then carefully covered with packing tape and applied to the gun. Cheap and effective way of adding a personal touch to it.

These pics are of the Kingbow, an early prototype of the Pbow.

Posted Image

Posted Image

The Kingbow was furiously powerful, but it broke after being fired 10 times (the cross cracked), so I made a version that doesn't use a PVC cross, and is in fact nearly invincible at that junction. I'm calling this the AaBow, (Actually a Bow), since all of the other Bow related names are taken by blasters that are not Bows.

That's so fucking cool.

Talio, I disagree with your no comments in this thread thing. Homemades are at the point where we don't need a writeup or even a thread to replicate things, but should still have some discussion about them, since there are so many new things. This thread has just been taking that role. Anyway, I'll talk to Vacc about it some more.

Most of you have seen this I guess, but I did a pumpbow on the 24th (yes, less than a day, made templates and everything - coming soon, etc etc). Huge props to Zorn (? pretty sure) for the design and Ryan for making his invincible original. Both did a great job.

Well I just got this today and I used it all day at BAFF.

Yup, thats a McNumbers +bow. Uber quality and the grip was supa soft, I had no soreness in my hand. It also came with a foregrip and padding on the stock and grip. Another picture:

Posted Image

The attachments I use are a hopper clip that holds 9 darts or 16 in of polyester.

Ranges=awesome.

Thanks Ryan.

More pictures later

This is the bow I've been working on, after being inspired by Kane's recently-named AaBow at MANO. Seriously, it's the most fun I've had with a nerf gun in a long time.

Currently, it gets about 80-90 feet with a 12" CPVC barrel and 15" plunger. The bowstring is 1/16" steel cable, and the plunger rod is 1/2" CPVC, with a standard SNAP plungerhead. Brute force assembly: 1/2" CPVC + 1/2" PVC + 3/4" PVC + encap on the top.

I still want to put a two-stage hopper on it. Right now it holds 6 darts.
