Thanksgiving Weekend War
Toms River, New Jersey
----------------------------------
Great war everyone. As far as I know everyone enjoyed themselves and we had plenty of people go out of their way to make the day fun for everyone. Pistol rounds were especially intense, with some serious dodging. Sadly we didn't even talk about doing the CTF round I wanted to do, oh well. We all seemed pretty intent on fitting in as many rounds as possible. Which worked.
We had some new blood, J.Atti. He had fun and got a few kills. He was also a favorite target for some. Seige was okay, however I don't think that field was "perfect" for it. It offered too much cover in most cases to the attackers... which ruins the idea of seige haha**.
Can't wait for the next one. My left leg is dead. Godspeed.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner... all out with the Nerf guys. It was a good time.
** Sorry I ruined the seige round. I said it was 5 minutes long. Normally it's 10 I think for when we play it. My mental lapse. Even if it didn't matter because we gave up the playground for the families and such.

Hardly any arguements. We got along so well today. We did cool stuff, and I fogot how much I liked playing in Jersey.
Pistol rounds where great today. I never go for pistol rounds. I normally am all but dead set against them, but today I was ready to go. Anyway, tommorow while I'm at work I'll write up a little more in depth about storys and funny shit, cause there was a hell of a lot of cool stuff that happened.

Glad to hear everyone liked John and the war. All the LCM guys seemed to agree when I talked to them afterwards as well.

I'm up to have Reckoning there. But we'll talk about that later.
Glad to see everyone had fun.

In response to Hersh's comment earlier concerning walking back to your shit. The way we usually handle that at big parks is just to bring the shit you need in a backpack and take it with you between rounds. I mean, as long as you don't get the bright idea to drag a cooler around (live and learn) it works pretty well.

How does everyone feel about the January war also being held at Winding River? I doubt we'll have the same number of regular park go-ers show up. The field I felt was good, and come a month and a half from now the leaves won't swallow as many darts.

Well Phil, just like how we organized around college vacations, we can organize around your vacation. From when to when will you be away?Like I said before I probably won't make it to Reckoning since I'll be going on a trip in january, so if you guys don't mind hosting a war at my park, Tindall's fine, but I won't be setting anything up.
This round there will be a CTF round without any funny rules. Just regular drop the flag when you're hit - it's up to your team to return it CTF. No dropping it near places. Just regular CTF. I'll make some flags with flagging tape and PVC.

About the CTF, yeah that way it will work just like it always does, whoever can break away wins. We've yet to find a good way to do it past the Horsemens spring war, which kinda worked. My version did work, because the whole point was you had enough cover that if your flag carrier got hit, it's your own fucking fault if you didn't have someone near by to pick it up, thus stopping the retarded grab and run. It works in other games like paintball because you can't out run a paintball gun. There wouldn't have been any problem there if you hadn't got shot and been such a whinny bitch about it.
