who the heck preorders the game when you can just buy it off EBAY right now????? Geeezzz..... your smart....and just to make it worse....you need to get an xbox.........heh not that i have one or anything......

What the fuck did that mean? You can't get the real copy of the game anywhere until November 9th. Sure you could get some stupid french leaked version. But thats means your an ass and are liable to be charged by authoritys, and two thats not the real game.

On another note, I would'nt be unsulting the members by saying things like "jeez your smart" in a sarcastin manner. Espeicialy on your 5th post.

EGM Magazine just gave halo 2 a platinum rating, 10 out of 10. I'm going to do some pre-ordering at best but tomorrow.

Well last night I got my Halo 2 (sort of). Apparently my brother waited in line at Walmart and was lucky enough to be the first person in line after they ran out of copies. Everybody but him and the people behind him got a copy. Bummer. So he went to Game Crazy inside Hollywood Video. Waited about 2 hours and found that Hollywood video had rental copies available. So he went over, rented it, and brought it home. He kicked my ass out of bed and we went and played Halo 2 for two hours.

It's pretty nice, graphics that are pretty close to Doom 3 in terms of prettyness in game. The x-box sometimes even struggles, especially through the movies. But it is impressive. What I like most is the method for dual weapons (similar to red-faction 2) and the assault rifle is an acquired taste. They also pumped up the Covenant's weapons, which is a welcome change, and made the needler a tad on the nerfed side (pardon my use of the term).

Everything is nicely balanced, and I'm pretty happy with it, if not for one thing, fucking splitscreen. We are stuck on vertical alignment splitscreen and have no idea how to make it horizontal. I fucking hate vertical splitscreen. I would be 8 times more likely to blow my load with Halo 2 if I could play coop splitscreen.

As for refreshments, we chose pints of Guinness, which went very well with the full-bodied flavor of this game.

Decals are bullet holes and other non-necessary parts to the game, Halo 1 had blood listed under decals, dont know if it still is

The decals are bullet holes and blood, in H1 you can turn the decals(bullet holes and blood) off.

Thats because you can't; I just looked around the menu/sttings and you can't tweak decals. I dont think you could of in Halo 1 either.

Youu can in H1. You just go into graphice and theres a decals switch and you just turn it to off.

I played it on Tuesday afternoon. I so fucking blown away by this game.

I neeeeeeed an Xbox. Horribly.

I take it back. I'd like to thank Bungie for putting in the plasma sword.

The upgraded needler kicks ass. Awesomely.

My only complaint about the needler is it doesn't seem to track as much. Other than that, it's awesome.

The Plasma sword is awesome, but gets REALLY annoying since you can only slash like 20-30 times before the blade dies. Still pick it up whenever though, it RULES.

Oddly enough, I like the Covenant Carbine.

For some reason, it takes me FOREVER to kill the flood, even with dual plasma rifles. Am I just missing some kind of secret here other than hitting them in the head?

I think if you shine a flashlight at em' they get fucked up or something. I don't really know though I just try to have fun with them.

Hey Ompa this is a answer for you... When you're fighting the flood never use Covenant weapons. For some odd reason there bodies have built a durability to plasma. So best choice is smoke em with a shotgun, because what you really want to do to the flood, is rip them apart. So the shotgun works amazingly well against them as well as dual smgs. But the trick is dont use both at once... when one is reloading cap them with the other and repeat. That works well for large groups. In fact Human weapons pretty much excel in killing. Although plasma assault rifles work well on Brutes and Elites, as well as those annoying Flying droid laser shooting things that hover around halo killing flood

My problem is that I was playing as the Elite... All I had was plasma weapons, and a sword, which ran out of energy some ways through that damn elevator. I think it's the first level when you play as the elite.
