I was curious if anyone had recently done some great paint jobs? I personally like painting, as it customizes your gun.

Here is a flat black with reflective silver Scout. First ever painted Scout? Maybe. I was going for the whole Glock-with-chrome-slide look. I like it, although the slide causes a small scratch across the casing.

Here is a camoflauge Max Shot. I'm getting better.

I invite you to show off some of your paintjobs, I need some inspiration.

yeah, the scout looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. You should practice twirling it on your finger, then shooting it. People would drool at your awsomeness.

I am also interested in great paint jobs. I love to paint my guns by hand, but sadly, i suck. Once I get my camera fixed, i'll post.

That's one fine looking scout. I like how it is unmodded. It really preforms well stock and modding it for a slight improvement is not very appealing to me. You always seem to do great paint jobs Hunter, keep it up. Like I said before, I prefer hand painting my guns, just becuase it's a lot more fun in my opinion and it still comes out pretty good. However, I have not yet tried to spraypaint my guns. I may try that some day...

Twirling stuff on fingers is fun. Stupid goat with his covert modded nitefinder. I drool at your twirling awsomness.

I love paintjobs. I am currently painting my RF20 blue and black. Here is the NF I posted on NHQ:

It too is being painted right now. Painted blue and black to match the RF20.

Groove, you are awesome when it comes to painting! A while back, I got a hold of a decent airbrush and compressor, and am learning to use it. My first project I am working on is painting The Cheat on my NES (so far, I have the base coat and a yellow silhouette almost finished on the furry little guy). I started on the project about a month ago, but I haven't been making much progress lately, due to other random shit going on with my life. For painted Nerf guns, I have a Sharpshooter 2, LNL, and a Tech Target spraypainted gloss black.

Thanks, guys.

I should really try handpainting sometime... although I believe for the Max Shot that spray (or airbrushing) is alot easier to get a camoflague effect.

Groove, I looked at that thread ever day when it was in progress. That is the kind of painting Nerf needs. I want to try something like that...

I didn't feel like modding the Scout. I could barely feel the air output, so I just pulled the restrictor out. It works... decently. Indoors. That's why I just had to make it look cool, to amend it's bad reputation.

Frankly, I think the NIC needs to keep threads like this one open. There are brainstorming threads for every other aspect of modding. This is one of the things I love about Nerf, customization. Meaning painting, unique mods, and even very detailed ladies on the side of your gun.

Come on guys, show me any and every paintjob you have done. I'll show you some of mine when I was just starting...

A friend's SM1500. 1st paintjob I ever did.

It was a joke/stab at Katachi after he claimed us all to be crappy modders; and that we needed to concentrate on form, not function.

THIRST, being a great guy threw together a gun of pure form, no function. That SM750/BF cocking handle monstrosity is what we got from it.

It's old now, and the conflict was resolved.

I knew I would screw up something. I knew exactly what gun it was, just not the number. 250 is the spring action one that Janga made into a Luger... righhht.

Blast.

Now that is purty.

I like the Splitfire, NF and Tech Target, too, Thirst.

BMZ, Blackwrath's arsenal is similar to that.

PS. Heh, I almost peed myself when I saw that thing, again.

PPS. (So I don't post again)

I wouldn't call mine impressive, but they're of the ilk that have been posted, so whatever. The xbow is a glossy black, with a chewbacka(sp) bowcaster ammoholder, that fits 1/2" fbr perfectly.

The others are my sm trio, all have the same textured green and black paint. soon to be joined by a sm1k, they are:
my sm750 (camera's flash went crazy)
Posted Image
my sm1500

and my sm5k (currently still being fixed, so just the shell right now)

That's all right now.

Jlego, similar painting inspiration, looks good, doesn't it? I love black and silver.

For those who can't see my crappy stencils, my SM5k says "SB" with a scimitar going from bottom left to top right. It doesn't look very profession, but it's my little touch.

What do you guys think?
