God it's been 10 years since I joined this site, hard to believe. Anyways, I recently had sort of a craving to get back into this scene, so I fired up my CAD software and decided to design my own blaster.
It's basically just a PlusBow with aesthetics designed to mimic that of the Crossbow, and with a pull - style bolt action priming rod that also acts to emulate the original crossbow's scope.

So the top "Crossbow scope" is the pullback to prime the blaster? Would that not spring forward when fired, and hit your face if it was leaned against the stock?

The priming bar isn't attached to the actual plunger rod, and acts upon a nub on the back of the plunger and returns back to the neutral position with a return spring once it's primed.

Yeah I saw that, but as a bit of a 3D printing veteran myself I have low expectations for the durability of 3D printed blasters.

Ah, but its mostly just a printed *shell*, with regular homemade (durendal) internals. And threaded rods holding everything in.

Yeah, but ultimately those threaded rods are going to rely on the structural rigidity of the printed plastic surrounding their mounting points. Ideally what I would do is integrate a polycarbonate frame inside the shell to take the brunt of the load.

Hey, long time no see! Welcome back friend! This is awesome work!
I'd encourage you to reconsider that priming mechanism - it looks like you'd be putting a lot of torque into the delrin rails as you prime?
I'd recommend looking at how people have been priming Tornado Bows!

Yoooo Lucian, It's good to be back. Can't believe it's been 10 fucking years. Care you elaborate on the tornado priming mechanism?
I could also more the upper derlin rod upwards so you have room to put fingers on either side of it to distribute
the load, if that makes sense.
