Hey Guys,

I recently bought a nerf Retaliator (Sonic ice) and i begin looking into what Mods i can do for this Blaster and to no real surprise i find a fair few kits, so i thought i'd ask you kind folks for ideas and opinions of mods kits you've used.

Artifact Aluminum BlotSled (Blue)

Worker Mod Pump Kit combo six items for the Retaliator (Clear)

Artifact Aluminum Plunger Rod (Blue)

OMW Stage 1 Kit (5kg Spring)

Workers Final Stage kit

so there the kits i've found at the moment seen a couple of videos on some of them, so ideally the question is: What's more ideal and Practical in terms of the long run? cause at the moment, it's gonna have the 5kg spring and still deciding what more to do to it but i thought wouldn't hurt to ask your guys.

Depends on what you want to do. The Retaliator is pretty sturdy, you shouldn't need to replace anything to run a 5kg spring. A pump kit makes operating it more pleasurable, but you can build one for a few bucks if you're ok with the pipe look.

You didn't mention them, but beware the breech kits - they aren't bad (on the contrary, I largely hear good things about them) but most/all require you to run short darts. Any sealed breech (recommend building a sleeper breech for use with stock darts) plus your spring would give you really great performance though.

Well i'm thinking at the moment, it'll use stock darts. cause to me.. Makes more sense as i own a fair few mags. But as it's a Clear blue blaster, i wanna show off the internals so i'm debating the Artifact Blotsled or wait for DRS to re-stock his own cause i fear the blue will scratch and ware over time

When I'm finally done upgrading my stryfe, I will most likely do omw stage 1&2 (maybe stg 3)kits plus 7kg spring and worker pump grip for my retaliator.

I have seen someone (psyk/pwnd on youtube) use the worker pump grip with the omw stage 3 as well.

So you're looking more for aesthetics than practicality, correct?

As noted earlier, in terms of practicality, a 5kg spring by itself or even 7kg spring + catch spring upgrade is all that you really need to do performance wise. Since the Retaliator has been out for so long, you can easily find guides on how to use the stock barrel, grip, and practically any found material to convert the Retaliator into a pump grip.

However, if you want a better looking pump grip and/or style setup, that "Worker Mod Pump Kit combo six items for the Retaliator (Clear)" looks pretty damn awesome. The only major issue I see with it is cost but the pricing is kinda justified.

For the Artifact gear, you really have to double check to make sure that they work with stock Nerf parts and not their own Artifact parts.

Yeah i've order the Clear Worker set for the pump action, got some ideas to paint the clear parts clear blue, but the only part is the clear red.. but no a big deal. but fair enough i've got a OMW Stage 1. and i always double check everything, find videos, other opinions before making a choice

And mainly practicality if i can add some colour to the internals then fair enough, but i like the idea of having metal parts i.e. the Boltsled cause to me makes some sense if i ever wanted to beef up the spring and no panic about breaking anything

Do yourself a favor and get yourself Omw stage 2 kit. It has everything else you were going to get, including boltsled, plunger, and breech. All of that is $20, and comes in black.
Better fps, more durable, and compatibility with older and full length darts are all reasons this is the option for you.

Unless you're running above a 7kg spring, there is absolutely no reason to use a metal boltsled. Just paint it silver or something.
