Hello, I'm pretty new to this site(but not to the hobby) I'm from Waterloo, IA and I'm looking for a Nerf group/war near my area. Somewhere not two far away, I am willing to create a group but if I do I might not be able to meet up as much due to school. I'm mostly just looking for people to fling foam with every once and a while. That is all, peace!

Hey man! I've got a forum for Nerf players in the Northern Illinois/Chicagoland area. I know Waterloo, IA is a bit of a hike, but if you're willing to drive 3 hours for a war then come on over to our forum. We need as many people as we can get. BTW: We've already got someone driving from Rochester, Minnesota to the Chicagoland area so be aware that it could be a whole lot worse in terms of distance.

Yea, not sure if the parents would let me(I will still ask) but it's not as bad as it could be, what's your forum?

Yup yup. I attend nerf wars in Dubuque hosted by the library on the first Saturday of the month. It's a good 3 hours and pretty well attended (approx 30 people). I actually just uploaded a really short HL vid:

Most of the information is on there if you just read everything that's been said. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm new to this hobby myself, so be aware of that.

 

Also, I would suspect that you guys from Iowa would think that there would no trouble gathering a team of Nerfers in such a big city like Chicago, right? WRONG. Well, I thought that as well when I created the forum and now look who I'm talking to... people that live 3+ hours away.  Again, I am sorry for this insane proposal, but I have no other option.

 

It's plain ridiculous to see these Los Angeles and NYC long-time established nerf groups (Like Armageddon and NYCNO) that have outings every other month while there's no mention of ANY Chicago-land nerf group on this fucking website! It's the 3rd-largest city in the United States of America for Christ's sake!

Is it still active? Plus when and where do they host the wars?
